Will John McCain ensure a Democrat victory in 2008?

I can't see McCain to winning the republican nomination for president. I belive he will run as an independent, and split the republican vote. That will insure victory for whichever democrat is in the race. It's happened before, and recently. Remember Ross Perot? He dropped out of the race when it looked like he had a chance to win, but came back in before election day to take votes away from Bush 41. Then he came back 4 years later to take votes away from Bob Dole. See a pattern, yet? No? Okay, who was the benifactor in both cases? Bill Clinton, who won both elections despite never having gotten the majority of the vote. I don't believe in coincidences, but I do believe in patterns. The mainstream media has been pumping McCain up for the last few years. They refer to him as the "republican front-runner." In what pole? Conservatives just don't like the guy. What the media giveth, the media taketh away. Beware, senator. If another Clinton uses this tactic, don't be surprised. Yes, I know, it's early. I just wanted to see if anyone else thought this was valid. I've seen this coming for a while, and thought i'd like to have it in writing for when it actually happens.

1. I dont think that any one person that is currently in the presidential race could ever be thought of as being responsible for Democrats winning in 2008.
2. John McCain is not a good choice as President but will just ensure a lopsided Democract win.
3. There is no way a Republican can win the White House no matter who runs! 8 Years of Bush and 12 of the Republican Congress is more than almost all of us can take!
4. Who cares? Either way we, the general public, lose. Most Democrats are crooks. And most Republicans are even worse! The majority of the two main parties are slaves to their corporate masters, the lobbyists, and special interest groups. This oligarchy of corrupt politicians, corporations, and wealthy elites is passing itself off as a democracy while they make sure their media marginalizes any 3rd party candidate or candidate without money. Sad, eh?
5. McCain's smart enough to realize the mistake it would be to take votes away from the republican candidate. We must also remember whose votes Nader took in 2000. Besides, nothing ever ensures anything in the presidential race. Johns Kerry and Edwards couldn't beat Bush when it seemed a trained monkey could have gotten the job done. They probably would have, but then Theresa went public.

7. We need some good ol' down home guys like Hunter/Huckabee. Can we vote for anyone who hasn't stood up for the injustice of those two border agents? Don't we want a Pres that back justice and has done something about border problems. I noticed a group has trumped something up about Hunter as certain interests will be against an activist re the border.
