4. He would be a very competitive candidate IMHO. Where he is seen as a GOP renegade, he is immune to a lot of the negativity that is attached to Bush.

9. I've been considering him in that role for about half a year, now. So far, I haven't seen anyone better. And it's not just a matter of having nobody better... I do like him. He seems quite intelligent, reasonable, patient, rational, thoughtful, and considerate. He seems to have the combination of brains and communication skills, plus an ability to deal with people, which are critical in that job. I also like almost everything he has to say, that I've heard. Yes, he'd get my vote.
10. Personally, I like him as well, and would rather have him in the White House than any other candidate or potential candidate that I can think of. He doesn't put up with useless bullshit, is direct, and obviously has served our country during a time that was strife with chaos, sacrificing years of his life. He knows first hand the problems we face during any wartime scenario, and while I am often perplexed by Bush's comments and actions, there isn't any second guessing with McCain. The only thing I am unfamiliar with is his economic plans, but he is the only true candidate I feel comfortable of supporting and voting. However, he has often stated he would not seek the Presidency, so it might be a moot point; we'll have to wait and see.

13. I believe John McCain is a man of character. I like him personally, but I am disappointed with his position on some things. He's just a little too liberal for me and too much of a "business as usual" type of guy. I honestly don't see anyone yet that I could get enthusiastic about.
