John McCain for president in 2008?

He's strong on defense and could even be considered a conservative democrat. Isn't he perfect to ensure the swing vote from both sides of the Liberal/Conservative spectrum? MONICA YOU HAVE BEEN REPORTED FOR ABUSE

  1. If his health holds up
  2. i liked him in 2000...but im happy with bush...mccain will be sufficient if the liberals dont go nuts and sabotage him just because they are petty...
  3. He is starting to campaign already by going from one side to the other to garner as many of the "middle" votes as he can. I like his usual candor but I see this starting to fade in favor of the politician who needs votes. He should stay his own course that has in the past made him so popular and well-respected in this country. I still like him and will be watching and listening.
  4. He will run, but he will not get the nomination. His window of opportunity has come and gone. He would be better than Hillary! I am proud of his service in the military and for what he gave his country.
  5. Bush will try and change the law so he can steal another election and have a 3rd term....Bush makes Nixon look honest.
  6. I doubt he will be the one to promise big business the most, therefore raising the most cash for the democrat campaign. He appears too honest :(
  7. I thought he was great in the 2000 primary. Then Rove & Co. hammered him after he trounced Bush in NH. Since then McCain seems to have lost that authenticity that he had on the "straight talk express". I long for the "old" McCain.
  8. I will not support him
  9. Hell no.
  10. I'm a republican and he's way to liberal for my taste.
