Do you think John McCain is the best candidate for president?
Public Comments
- Not really, no. He flip flops alot and I have no idea what his actual stance on international relations is. The guy has no real platform, even his social conservative stance is up for sale to the highest bidder. At least with Bush you knew where his social platform stood (I am a social liberal), so I could respect that. With McCain you just don't know ...
- McCain, or any GOP candidate, would be the worst choice for president.
- no. it we elect him, we might as well keep gwb.
- Right now, I would vote for him in the primaries at least. He is experienced and the only one who isn't associated with putting his dog in a cage on top of the car(Romney) or a son killing a dog (Huckabee).
- No, but if he were to start campaigning to bring home America's POW's and MIA's, then he might be considered a decent man. Until then, he's a typical republican politician. .
- Mc Cain can only be elected president if Obama is defeated in the primaries.Mc Cain's age and pro-White House policies leaves much to be desired. Americans are sick and tired of being sick and tired of 'same faces different portfolios' syndrome from the Republican rule.Americans need prefare black or a woman to a republican.Polls shows they suck.
- No, he just wants to keep the war going, halliburton hasn't made enough money yet.
- No. And he is totally wrong for the rupublican party. If we are going to elect a democrat as president we are better off voting for one. That way they get the blame for all the screw ups. #1 McCain introduced a bill that limits free speech during the election under the guise of election reform and getting big money out of the elections. Well the big money is still there but the freedom of speech is gone. #2 He is for amnesty for illegals. He calls it reform and collects a couple of dollars for it. But any way you slice it it allows all 12 million illegals to stay. #3 He was for embryonic stem cell research. It's a moot point now that they no longer need to use cells from a human embryo. But it just goes to show the republicans were right. #4 He was against the tax cuts. The tax cuts have produced huge gains in revenue again. Since 1962 when Kennedy first introduced the idea of cutting taxes to increase revenues one thing has remained constant. Raise taxes.........revenue has dipped................Cut taxes...............revenues rise. Give the rich a chance to make more money by investing and creating jobs and the revenues soar. Penalize them and the put all their extra money in tax shelters that produce nothing and costs jobs rather than produce them. #5 Is for the estate tax. Probably the most unfair tax of all. During a persons lifetime they pay 36% on all they earn then pay another 20% on the interest the earn on that money. Then when you die the democrats want 50% of whatever you own?????? Ask Ted Kennedy how much of Joe's estate went to the death tax. The answer is none. They have their assets in the Bahamas making it exempt from the death tax. #6 The dems want him as the republican candidate because they feel he or Huckleberry would be the easiest to defeat.
