When did John McCain change his stance on soldiers dying? He wants to stay the course in Iraq but, there was.

a time when the death of an American soldier bothered him. In 1993, Sen. John McCain led an effort to cut off funds immediately for military operations in Somalia after a firefight in Mogadishu killed 18 U.S. troops. The former prisoner of war in Vietnam brought a hush to the chamber floor when he asked what would happen if Congress failed to act and more Americans died. "On whose hands rest the blood of American troops? Ask yourself this question," said McCain

  1. That was before his illigitmate black daughter
  2. another Republican loser
  3. whats your wuestion?
  4. It's one of the reasons that McCain is doomed and doesn't have a shot in Hades at the nomination. He's tried to be too many things to too many people, most of whom don't agree with each other. The true cons don't trust him at all, he isn't "the one" they are seeking.
  5. That doesn't count because it was during Newts attempted Coup. So all blame would be assigned to Clinton.
  6. Isn't it funny what regime change and one's decision to run for office can do. Old Flip Flop McCain is just being himself. At pancake breakfast fundraisers they nick name him the flipper. But remember one who flips to much will soon flop.
  7. Maybe he realizes that if soldiers don't continue to babysit in Iraq, they will fall to a terrorist dictator and we will soon have civilian casualties in America as a result. I guess McCain would rather have soldiers' blood on his hands than civilians. I can't say that I blame him. I've been to Iraq and seen how helpless the "Iraqi government" is.
  8. I think it's hypocritical and wrong, and cons bash Murtha for pushing Clinton to flee Somalia. As a result, OBL called the US a paper tiger and interpreted that as a sign of weakness believing they could attack without impunity. Perhaps he learned his lesson? I wonder if anyone in the media has questioned him on this....
