Why does American hero John McCain support illegals?
I supported John McCain 100% before he supported illegal immigration. He served his country in Vietnam, was held captive, and came back and continued to support his brave buddies fighting in the war, unlike the traitors like John Kerry, who served in the war, but came back and turned against his buddies. This means he could deal with great pressure in the White House. If anyone knows what we need to do in Iraq, it is John McCain, not Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, or Rudy Giuliani. He knows about warfare and like Bush, would not cave into the biased media and braindead American public, which wants us to run from Iraq. I still respect him greatly, but he no longer has my vote.

- Once again, Cons betray their "war heroes" just because they differ in ONE thing. Cons are treacherous beings, for sure.
- I don't understand it either. It was illegals that killed those three college kids in Newark not too far from where I grew up at. DEPORT THOSE CRIMINAL WASTES OF OXYGEN!
- He's a "Politician" and as we've seen, Congress no longer cares what "the Citizens" want when they tried to ram that "Amnesty Bill" down our throats!
- I'm not sure. He definitely sunk his campaign by supporting that legislation. Maybe he should have listened to the braindead American public
- McCain would say anything to get elected-- Where is the most dangerous place in America to stand? Anywhere between John McCain and a microphone or camera...
- All your government buddies sponsor a world bank and multinationals globalism agenda of a border-less, sovereignty-less world, get ready for the North American Union. If you are STILL scratching your head why your leaders, money grubbing cons and dems have been selling your country out and not doing anything about immigration or port controls, you need to get with the program and get informed about what your government is doing and how they are conducting BUSINESS behind closed doors.
- I agree that illegals should stay out of America, BUT... there are 12 million+ of them here, if you deport them they come back. We'd waste money for nothing. They can provide advantages, cheap labor will entice companies to come to the US or stay in the US. Our social security system is dying, an influx of tax paying guest workers could keep the program alive. I think McCain realizes a reality when he supports some type of amnesty.
- We really do need that farm labor. Guest worker program or higher food prices.
- I don't think McCain supports illegals. He supports a comprehensive plan to deal with the problem. He helped develop the plan which is more than I can say for most politicians. His problem is this: The very same plan was tried under Regan but the border security part of it was never funded and obviously didn't get done so the electorate is understandably skeptical. If you want to save a sinking ship, you must first plug the leak and I believe that's what he's advocating. Once that's done, what do you do with what's down in the bilge? I think he wants to make it more palatable and put it to use. I consider that reasonable, compassionate and fiscally wise. I also think he'll have more luck with it as a senator, not as president. To say he supports illegal immigration is a stretch.
- he is a liberal id the closet aka a RINO
