1. No. Only native born can run, no naturalized citizens can be president

3. Unless something changes in the laws - only a native born American can run for presidency. That leaves Schwarzengger, eating cake.
4. No, this would not be a good idea. Besides Arnold is not a native American, therefore, he cannot be president. Or, vice-president, I think.
5. Not sure what it is, but something about McCain does not sit right with me, and Arnold is not qualified since he is not a naturalized citizen. Please don't try to predict the future by what comes out of Hollyweird.
6. It will never happen. The congress won't amend the Constitution for this purpose. And I think Arnold is great, but many people won't take him seriously, because of his acting career. He isn't like Reagan who was involved in politics along time. But in Arnold's defense he appreciates America more than most people born here. I've heard his comments that praise the opportunities here. I think its interesting how legal immigrants appreciate the USA more than natural citizens. 7. I won't even go into whether I think these guys are the best candidates, but I will comment on your VP choice. While it may be possible to amend the constitution to allow his candidacy I don't think it should be done. Amending the constitution is, and should be, a very complicated process. We have been unable to pass what I consider much more valid amendments (e.g. Equal Rights) and need to be conservative (with a small 'c', I am a moderate liberal politically) about our approach to changing it. If the necessary votes can be mustered in the Senate and Congress, it still must be sent to the states for ratification. That could not happen in the time before the next election.
8. Arnold would be useless as the VP for one reason... The concept of being "a heartbeat away from the presidency" would make him irrelevant. For reasons already discussed he would never be able to be Pres., and you are correct in that he can be VP. Thus, whomever would be Sec. of State, would your dream ticket come true, would be the true power behind the president. Do you really think Arnold wants to be #2?? Or as shown here, #3?? Not going to happen.
