Primary Election question/ I want to vote in the Primary elections?

right now I am a registered "Independant" voter, but I want to vote in the Primary election comming up in a couple years. How do I register as either a "Democrat" or "Republican" before the primary election, so I will be eligible to vote in the Ohio Primary elections?

1. You need to re register before your elections register as Dem. or a Rep. because these two parties are usually the only ones that hold primaries. If you would like you can be what is called a rhino. Which means you can register for the party you dis agree with and try to sink their chances of winning the actually election by voting for the worst candidate knowing that he will lose most likely because of his or her radical views!
2. It depend on which party's primaries you want to vote in. Contact your local(county) election board to get a form to re-register and then register for the party that you want to vote in the primaries for.
