- I oppose him because I do not like his political stnaces or policy decisions. I however like him as a man. He seems both open and honest. We need more politicians like that. Of course he could just be a good politician meaning he makes us see the part of him that he wants to portray.
- I oppose Obama because I think he is wholly unqualified to be President. During our previous 4 election cycles, both sides claimed that Clinton and Bush weren't qualified for the job. Yet, compare both of their pre-WH resumes to Obama.
- Okay, I oppose him, but I still think he should be given a fair chance.
- obama is a black man running for the presidency , that is why he is popular ...... he doesn't have a clue about what it takes to fight terrorism
- I personally respect the fact that he said he would meet with leaders of rogue nations his first year in the white house. It gave him a chance set himself apart from the other candidates and suggest something new. It's not hard to see that what we are doing right now in regards to Iran is not working so why not show them that we have a leader with a backbone?
- Decent man but inexperienced and therefore not qualified to be President. David Brooks, a very well qualified and conservative columnist for the New York Times, indicated his opinion recently in his column that John Edwards is the best choice among the Democrat candidates. It looks like a lot of Democrats are coming around to this conclusion. Many of them have said that they can't stand the thought of Hillary or Slick Willy back in the White House. Conservatives should decide between Fred Thompson and Mitt Romney, but support Giuliani against any Democrat if he wins the primary. Fred Thompson says what he thinks clearly and in no uncertain terms, so everyone can understand his positions. He's the first one honest enough to use the term ADULT stem cell research, which he supports. He's a conservative, but a very practical and pragmatic one, and may well be the best choice possible for this nation. Mitt Romney is an entirely different person, but honest, brilliant, and a proven leader. Either one would be a great choice.
- Although I like what Obama stands for, I feel like his inexperience is showing during these debates. I am still undecided about him. He hasn't completely won me over.
- Your right he is against a war that most Americans are against. Why vote for him? Maybe because he had the good sense to know that invading Iraq was a mistake. He's honest to a fault, something we are definately not used to in a President. He did not spend the majority of his childhood in Indonesia, but in Hawaii being raised by his Caucasian grandparents. At least get you facts right. And what good has the experience George Bush had done for us anyway?
