Why does Barack Obama try to act like Marting Luther King when he gives a speech?
Public Comments
- MLK is looked at respectfully. Obama wants respect. He has no reason at this point to deserve it.
- i think that hurt him also but i still like him
- not to me,.. is that who you think he acting like
- I think Barack Obama is Barack Obama with his own style, never once when I listen to him do he remind me of MLK
- I think it may hurt him in the long run because he seems to take old quotes from other famous people and put them into his speech.
- LOL You're not the only one who thinks that...he needs to find his own voice sometimes it sounds like he's a preacher in church on Sunday giving a sermon.
- He doesn't. He is his own man with his own ideas. But I can understand why you would see a comparison with another great human being.
- he does not try to do it on purpose...why would he!? he says his speeches with passion, devotion, change, and a desire to win. would u rather him just sit there and be boring?!
- Many black preachers have a similar style when they deliver a sermon, and Obama thinks that style serves his political purposes for the time being. It's possible though that his strategy could backfire on him as the political battle continues, just like Clinton's strategy of being surrounded by Mr. Clinton and Albright didn't work out at first.
- Actually, I think he sounds like the wrestler the Rock. And how ironic is that, both are the peoples choice!
- It looks like that to you because the eyeholes on your hood are cut too small.
