BARACK OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT IN 2008. Would you vote for him?
To answer some negative items:1) "Someone scares you because they look good & speak well?" I can understand that after listening to Bush. 2) "He (Obama) feels the govt. can assist people to improve their life?" I thought that is what a president should do? I realize Bush has not, but that go along with the job. 3) "Obama won't prevent another 911 because his head is in the sand." How do you know that? And how in the hell did Bush do anything to prevent it? My favorite memory of Bush and his govt. will be New Orleans. Right out of the comics..........

- What party? IS he even a U.S. BORN citizen? Cause ya gotta be
- NOPE
- In a heartbeat. I think a no Bullsh!t candidate is exactly who we need.
- H-e-l-l No!!!!!!!!!!!! Poncy twit.
- I couldn't say it any better than Wolf. I just read the article on him in this week's Time. Very insightful.
- Let's see... he has George Clooney's stamp of approval... so no.
- Yes I would!!!
- For those asking, he is American born. His father emigrated from Africa. Yes, I'd consider voting for him.
- Yes!!!!!!
- Yes, I would, he's very intelligent, but I doubt he will run. He hasn't even completed one term in the U.S. Senate. He's extremely popular here in IL, though.
- Mr. Obama is a good looking, intelligent progressive, liberal politician who unfortunately happens to be a democrat. As a democrat his emphasis will be to assist those who elect to take advantage of our government's assistance to its citizens. Obama feels that the government can assist people to improve their lives. As such, he will increase our taxes and increase benefits to those who elect not to be full contributors to our society. Also, as a democrat, he also feels if we ignore and put our heads in the sand, that those who hate us will leave us alone and we'll not have another 9-11 type attack. People like Obama scare me because they look good and speak well, but I can't trust them to look our for my interest and the security of the country. So, to answer your question, I would not vote for him. TX Guy
- Americans made the mistake of electing a man in 1992 simply because he was "charismatic" and "articulate." Yes, Bill Clinton was those things. Where did it lead us ultimately? Focus on Obama's beliefs, his ideology: he is as liberal as Hillary Clinton or Ted Kennedy. Obama is just more classy about it.
- Yes I would.
- Never!!
- Not on a bet!
- not only would i vote for mr. obama, i would work my local democrat party office to help get him elected.
- No way. He can talk a good talk, but so can a used car salesman. He's basically a clever BS artist who pushes left-wing ideology. And the only reason why he's getting such rockstar attention from everyone is because they're hoping he's the 'Black Messiah' who will topple the white regime.
- My issue with Obama: He's spending his time as a Senator representing MY state on David Letterman and Oprah. I love Oprah, and I think it's good for him to get his views out, but he should be working for the state, not interviewing. I have sent e-mails to both Senators about various issues, and ALWAYS get a letter from one, but NEVER from him. Granted, it may be a stock letter (this is how I feel...yada yada yada), but it tells me my letters go SOMEWHERE. Obama has returned NOTHING. I won't vote for someone who spends his office time on talk shows.
- yes i would because he seems to be for the people, the real people of this , and yes ....i did see him today on Oprah and i thought he said everything that i believe in. I THINK HE WOULD MAKE A GREAT PRESIDENT
