Election Results? I am sure that you guys MUST have been prepared to answer some political questions in light of the election on yesterday. I am absolutely DISGUSTED with how things turned out in OHIO and TEXAS!! I am almost flabbergasted to say the least!! So, what happens from here? (I live in Ohio by the way and I am ashamed) *only OBAMA supporters need to respond...thanks
Election results? Do you think that it is unfair the florida and michigan voters get no say in the democratic delegate count. Also, if Obama wins, do you think it would be sort of a phony victory, because way more fl and mi delegates would have gone to hillary you can see results for states on cnn.com/electioncenter yeh I don't know whats up with florida didnt they have to redo voting 4 years ago for something, or did kerry just call a recount???
How our election results affect the market condition? i mean..I read it somewhere..we cant say the market condition, whether it will improve or no. We can say it afetr seeing the election result. And i want to know how the election results will affect the market condion? Is it something regarding to the stability of the Govt. or about the party which will form the Govt.????
Where can I find election results for SD? Everybody's talking about the results of the election, so I'm assuming the counts must be in somewhere. Are they? And where can I go to find results for South Dakota?
What woulld this indicate about the election results? The new presidential limo now has spinner hubcaps and booming subwolfers. Please answer before the yahoo nazis remove the question. They have a very clear political agenda. Please answer before the yahoo nazis remove the question. They have a very clear political agenda. My political bias is clearly evident and obvious; yahoo tries to pretend to be neutral.
Where Can I Find Election Results By Ward? Is there a web site showing how many votes each canditate received in each ward? I've looked at the overall changes on the BBC website but where can I fingd more finite info about individual candidates? Many Thanks.
Can I have the election results texted to my phone? Is there any way I can have the election result texted to my phone? I just checked CNN.com and they said that the last state to close its polls will be Alaska at 1 am ET. I plan on being asleep at that time lol. My wireless provider is Cingular. I already tried to get CNN breaking news alerts but they only work for Verison customers. Anyone know of a good REPUTABLE source that would be able to text me the results? Thanks in advance!
Gas Shortage and Will it Change the Election Results? The Dept Of Energy now says we have an impending Gasoline and Diesel fuel shortage coming soon. What will that do to the Election Results. And given that the Congress does the work of of Bills and Laws in the USA and its now Democrat, will a lot of blame go to them instead of Bush a Republican. Congress afterall should be doing more than just sitting around too, Bush shouldnt be getting all the credit either. Given that fact how will the Election go?
Is there a website with comprehensive election results? I'm looking for a user-friendly website that will show election results for the last several years nationwide for Senate and House of Representatives. I just want the district, candidates and vote totals. Ideally it would have a search feature by name or congressional district also. Any suggestions?
Would you believe election results without the number of votes? I am not talking about paperless voting machines. In high school student council and class elections, students are only told "This student, [insert name], won." In Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and South & North Carolina, top two student candidates face each other in a runoff. All other states accept whoever has the most, even though that is not half. It is rare indeed for a class president to be elected in one round by majority.
Can superdelegates overturn the primary election results? I heard on the radio (WABC in NY) that the superdelegates can overturn the results of the Democrapic primary, meaning if the people vote for Obama, the party elite could overrule their voice and nominate Hillary. Please tell me this is NOT true. And the pols wonder why people don't vote anymore.
WHEN will UK European ELECTION results be out? Was really looking forward to listening to them come out on the radio tonight but I can't find an election special til Sunday evening. Will the results of the UK council elections, or UK European elections come out tonight or will I have to wait til Sunday?!?! Please someone answer - you might save or ruin my evening!!!
Is there a public list of data in the 2004 election results? You have 50 approximately normally distributed samples, both measuring a value between 0 and 100, and two methods of measuring them. One of the methods (let's call it the Election Result Method, ERM) is supposedly perfect as it gathers all of the data. The other is a sampling of the data (let's call it the exit poll method, EPM) which has a margin-of-error about plus or minus 1 percent*. In thirty of these cases (the anomolous cases), the ERM yielded a result outside the confidence interval of the EPM. Twenty-six of the cases gave a value above the confidence interval, while 4 of the cases gave a value below the confidence interval. Missing info includes: 1) What confidence interval was used in determining the margin of error? 2) How many and which of the 30 anomolous cases resulted in a change between 49 and 51% 3) Probably most important--is there a public list of all the data involved somewhere to torture a 500 level stats class with? The company that collected the data was called Edison Media Research. Edison-Mitofsky performed an independent analysis of the data: http://uscountvotes.org/ucvAnalysis/US/USCountVotes_Re_Mitofsky-Edison.pdf But is the data publicly available?
what is a good website for election results? I talking about for super Tuesday. I am not look for CNN or something like that. I am look for a website(s) that show actual vote and delegate counts as they come in. A website(s) that gets its info directly from the party\gov computers that receive report the results.
Will Democrats be respectful of the election results? It seems like there's an awful lot of bashing on the boards. I'm a republican, I'll concede that the Dem's won. I'm actually happy with most of the results. It's probably time for a good change. However, it seems that there is almost a sigh of relief from the Dem-nation that they "finally won one", and this is going to be their time to party and everything will change. I think more than ever we need to accept each other for our beliefs and end the hate that we display towards conflicting oppinions.
How do the republicans (here on yahoo) interpret the recent Election results? Do you feel that members here , and else where are responsible for the losses? What I mean is do you think that todays Republican Party needs to fixed? Melt...I agree with you ...on your last part...the Democrats that won are either new, moderat or conservative. My question is will they simply bring us more of the same?, or will Nancy be able to bring a firm unity?
Election results? Ak parti won. How do you guys feel about it? Happy, sad, excited, dissappointed...
I was reading the election results from NC this morning and I have a question.......If anyone knows please ans I need an answer.... OK, I know when they do "polls", they ask a certain number of people the question and derive a percentage based on the number of people asked. Then they state i.e. derived from say 100 responses. Question: I was reading the election results from NC this morning. It stated that 90% of the black vote went to Obama, 61% of white vote Clinton. The ballots are supposed to be secret. HOW and Where did they get those figures???? Anyone? HHHMMMM, maybe I'm just stupid?Do they fingerprint the ballots? :-)
Article for the school newspaper... Election Results? I am responsible for writing an article for the school newspaper. The purpose of the article is to inform fellow students of the election results (of officers) for a club in which I am involved in. Which TV network has a history for the MOST ACCURATE polling (or use of data) in predicting election results? So many creative things can be done with the collection of and interpretation of "research data" that it becomes very important to know how information was collected, how much of it was collected, where and when it was collected, etc. The major networks are in a competition to see who can predict the results of an election the soonest. But in their zeal to be the first, they will conduct their own "exit polls" at voting stations, then broadcast the results which often has an influence on the remaining voters who are deciding whether they should vote or stay home based on how things look. I don't doubt that TV Networks have their own "favorite candidates" and might even selectively choose which polling stations they take their "research" from in an effort to sway the voting public in the direction they prefer. And I think that's slimey which is why we need (and have) more than one network. But which Network has the best record in this department for accuracy and fairness?
Jamaica Election Results? what do you think about the results of the recent elections in jamaica. Do you think Bruce is a defensive driver or Portia is a reckless driver.
Do you believe The Most means > ½ in election results? In U.S. HIGH SCHOOL student class elections, students are only told "Tyler or Jessica won." In an election race among five candidates, very seldom will one candidate have a more than half the votes in one round. High school elections in Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and South & North Carolina, get a majority every time because the top two STUDENTS face each other in a runoff. The other 40 states accept whoever has The Most, even though that is not ½. Seldom is a class president elected in one round by majority. Given a school with 1,000 students, and given each of 4 races for class president has 5 or more candidates it is generous to assume that 1 in 10 elections will have a majority winner in one round. Then for all 4 class presidents to win in one round, expect that result only once among 10,000 high schools of = size or # of elections. Defying those odds, there are 15 universities... ...and 1 high school which elect all offices by majority in one election, every time. They use instant runoff voting (IRV). How instant runoff voting works: http://www.fairvote.org/schools/irv.doc . Even though you understand how easy IRV is, ask your children in high school, or middle school, to explain it to you. Then ask them if their classmates will understand IRV and find it easy. If you do not like that we have been deceived in elections since high school, then that is where you change our elections, by helping to adopt IRV in high school. Sample motion to amend student charter: http://www.fairvote.org/schools/samplemotion.htm Jeffrey F., The example you gave has Josh with a majority. Jane has 13 beans Jill has 43 beans Josh has 44 beans Still 100 beans, but now Josh has The Most beans, which is more than anyone else, but not more than ½ the beans. Do you know how to count beans? If this were an election, Josh wins in 48 states in the general election. Georgia sends it to a runoff if less than 45%, and Louisiana if ...Louisiana if less than 50% + 1 vote.

If so how much? t_chaperone, What will you do to help your children's high school adopt instant runoff voting where they get >½ in every election? Sample motion to amend student charter: http://www.fairvote.org/schools/samplemotion.htm In your words, "...runoffs are a much fairer way to go."
Who wants to host the R&S presidential election? Primary results Just in...? Will the R&S King and Queen dare to host the election? 2008 election results are in! Find out now!? When the 2008 elections are over and Fred Thomson has beaten Hillary Clinton with 80% of the votes, will the democrats claim that the election was stolen like the 2000 election? (which after a careful count of the florida ballots offered 235 more votes for george bush) Will they claim voter fraud? Any ideas out there?

Why wait for Tuesday for election results when GUAM is at the polls TODAY? Democrats in the tiny tropical U.S. territory of Guam queued up today (Saturday) to vote in the latest presidential primary. Did you know? Residents of Guam, known as Chamorros, cannot vote in the Presidential election but do send a number of delegates to the Democratic convention in August? Clinton has reminded voters about her multiple visits to Guam during stopovers on presidential trips with her husband to Asia, and Obama has emphasized his Pacific connections through his upbringing in Hawaii and Indonesia. Guam's slogan: "Where America's Day Begins." Question: How many delegate votes are at stake in Guam? THE STORY: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/05/03/AR2008050300431.html
The President disappointed about the Election results? Do you think it is appropriate for the President of the US to tell Americans that he is "disappointed with the outcome of the election" Do you think he should have publicly supported any outcome, whether or not he was personally disappointed
If Ron Paul runs as a Libertarian, how would this affect the election results? I'm wondering what will happen to the election results of Ron Paul runs as a Libertarian. I Definetely like this man but am wondering whether i should vote for him, or not because he obviously doesn't have a chance of winning, unfortunately. But basically, how would him running as a Libertarian or Independent affect the election results in your opinion? Would it favor Obama/Clinton more or McCain?

Illegal immigrants and the election USA results? Now that the results are in from the elections. how will the balance of power affect the illigal immigration issue.........especially from Mexico to the USA or especially when it comes to the large number of Mexicans entering the USA from Mexico..........
For the first time I am actually affraid of up comming election results.? This time I truely fear the outcome. Ask your self who among any political party truely has the qualifications to run this nation?(please don't say any names, I might become frantic!) Every election the choices become worse and worse. I'm not joking in the least...I'm legitimately worried this time. We elected bush, NO I'M NOT BASHING HIM, what does that say for his oponent? Now the chioces we have are even worse! I think I hit a common ground to both parties.
Are the election results in Iran a sign that there is hope for possible relations with the US in the future? Based on past association with Iranians on a personal level, I have always maintained the idea that they are thoughtful intelligent people who have been misrepresented by their government. The recent elections in Iran were overwhelmingly against the hard line policies of Ahmedinejad. Although he remains president of the country, does this development show even a possibility of future diplomatic relations with the country? http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061221/ap_on_re_mi_ea/iran_elections AlfRed E nEuMaN 4 preSIDent: I disagree but not completely. I would agree that the United States must bear some responsibilty for relations between our 2 countries, but Iran also bears responsibility. You must consider the entire history of the discourse to arrive at proper conclusions and just denigrating one side while dismissing the other serves no one's purpose. As long as we are not at war with each other there is always hope that cooler heads will prevail, but this will never happen if both sides cannot put aside the blame. AlfRed E nEuMaN 4 preSIDent: yes I am familiar with the 1953 Coup and the reign of the Shah. An unfortunate and dark chapter in US/Iranian relations to be sure. I am also familiar with a little a thing in 1979. It lasted 444 days, perhaps you heard of it. The Iranian Hostage Crisis. You see your mindset is as damaging to international relations as any war mongers. While they'll believe that only military conquest can win the day, you believe that only completely condemning and humbling the United States will do it. You really need to get over it. You are mired in the negatives, if you are not an American I can understand it, but if you are it's sad that you would see your country humbled and on it's knees as a belief that only then can we properly conduct foreign policy. Tyrants only respect strength, they walk over weakness. History supports this conclusion time and time again.
