Obama VP: Wes Clark, Phil Bredesen, Kathleen Sebelius, or Joe Biden? Don't know these people? Check out these wikipedia links: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phil_Bredesen http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wesley_Clark http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kathleen_Sebelius http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_biden I think these are the most probable candidates. Personally, I think he needs some older white guy with foreign affairs experience. So even though Clark supported Clinton before, I think he would be the best fit and might switch over to Obama. Who do you like of these four? Or if you must argue another..make it good!

Why does the liberal media blame Limbaugh on racism? This is where Limbaugh got his "Magic Negro" ? Obama the 'Magic Negro' The Illinois senator lends himself to white America's idealized, less-than-real black man. By David Ehrenstein, L.A.-based DAVID EHRENSTEIN writes about Hollywood and politics. March 19, 2007 AS EVERY CARBON-BASED life form on this planet surely knows, Barack Obama, the junior Democratic senator from Illinois, is running for president. Since making his announcement, there has been no end of commentary about him in all quarters — musing over his charisma and the prospect he offers of being the first African American to be elected to the White House. But it's clear that Obama also is running for an equally important unelected office, in the province of the popular imagination — the "Magic Negro." The Magic Negro is a figure of postmodern folk culture, coined by snarky 20th century sociologists, to explain a cultural figure who emerged in the wake of Brown vs. Board of Education. "He has no past, he simply appears one day to help the white protagonist," reads the description on Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magical_Negro . He's there to assuage white "guilt" (i.e., the minimal discomfort they feel) over the role of slavery and racial segregation in American history, while replacing stereotypes of a dangerous, highly sexualized black man with a benign figure for whom interracial sexual congress holds no interest. As might be expected, this figure is chiefly cinematic — embodied by such noted performers as Sidney Poitier, Morgan Freeman, Scatman Crothers, Michael Clarke Duncan, Will Smith and, most recently, Don Cheadle. And that's not to mention a certain basketball player whose very nickname is "Magic." Poitier really poured on the "magic" in "Lilies of the Field" (for which he won a best actor Oscar) and "To Sir, With Love" (which, along with "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner," made him a No. 1 box-office attraction). In these films, Poitier triumphs through yeoman service to his white benefactors. "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" is particularly striking in this regard, as it posits miscegenation without evoking sex. (Talk about magic!) The same can't quite be said of Freeman in "Driving Miss Daisy," "Seven" and the seemingly endless series of films in which he plays ersatz paterfamilias to a white woman bedeviled by a serial killer. But at least he survives, unlike Crothers in "The Shining," in which psychic premonitions inspire him to rescue a white family he barely knows and get killed for his trouble. This heart-tug trope is parodied in Gus Van Sant's "Elephant." The film's sole black student at a Columbine-like high school arrives in the midst of a slaughter, helps a girl escape and is immediately gunned down. See what helping the white man gets you? And what does the white man get out of the bargain? That's a question asked by John Guare in "Six Degrees of Separation," his brilliant retelling of the true saga of David Hampton — a young, personable gay con man who in the 1980s passed himself off as the son of none other than the real Sidney Poitier. Though he started small, using the ruse to get into Studio 54, Hampton discovered that countless gullible, well-heeled New Yorkers, vulnerable to the Magic Negro myth, were only too eager to believe in his baroque fantasy. (One of the few who wasn't fooled was Andy Warhol, who was astonished his underlings believed Hampton's whoppers. Clearly Warhol had no need for the accouterment of interracial "goodwill.") But the same can't be said of most white Americans, whose desire for a noble, healing Negro hasn't faded. That's where Obama comes in: as Poitier's "real" fake son. The senator's famously stem-winding stump speeches have been drawing huge crowds to hear him talk of uniting rather than dividing. A praiseworthy goal. Consequently, even the mild criticisms thrown his way have been waved away, "magically." He used to smoke, but now he doesn't; he racked up a bunch of delinquent parking tickets, but he paid them all back with an apology. And hey, is looking good in a bathing suit a bad thing? The only mud that momentarily stuck was criticism (white and black alike) concerning Obama's alleged "inauthenticty," as compared to such sterling examples of "genuine" blackness as Al Sharpton and Snoop Dogg. Speaking as an African American whose last name has led to his racial "credentials" being challenged — often several times a day — I know how pesky this sort of thing can be. Obama's fame right now has little to do with his political record or what he's written in his two (count 'em) books, or even what he's actually said in those stem-winders. It's the way he's said it that counts the most. It's his manner, which, as presidential hopeful Sen. Joe Biden ham-fistedly reminded us, is "articulate." His tone is always genial, his voice warm and unthreatening, and he hasn't called his opponents names (despite being baited by the media). Like a comic-book superhero, Obama is there to help, out of the sheer goodness of a heart we need not know or understand. For as with all Magic Negroes, the less real he seems, the more desirable he becomes. If he were real, white America couldn't project all its fantasies of curative black benevolence on him.
If Obama or McCain are elected who fills in their spot as Senator? According to Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_biden), Joe Biden is running as Vice President and also for his senate seat. It says the governor would appoint someone to serve 2 years of his term if he won Senate reelection and became Vice President. What about Obama or McCain? The same? Their governor selects someone to complete their term?
Obama VP Choices? Assuming things go as expected and Obama does get this nomination. Here are some of the choices I've heard tossed around. Bill Richardson, Wes Clark, Hillary Clinton, John Edwards, Kathleen Sebelius, Michael Bloomberg, Jim Webb, Chuck Hagel, Ben Nelson, & Joe Biden Some Info on each... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Richardson http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wesley_Clark http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Edwards http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kathleen_Sebelius http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Bloomberg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Webb http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chuck_Hagel http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ben_Nelson http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Biden Who would you like to see Obama choose? and why? Really, to those of you who are Hillary supporters, don't respond please. Here's the reality for Clinton. Just to stay mathematically viable to even get to 2025 on her own, she has to win both Ohio & Texas with 60% of the vote in BOTH states and the reality is far more bleak than that. It won't happen unless something freaky and unseen happens, like lightning striking the Obama bus. Wake up to reality. Clinton is most likely done. I would also like serious responses with a valid reason.

On one website I see Issues and plans to deal with them. On the other website I see quotes form speeches and no real plan at all. Check them both out to find out.
Why do people think Obama is going to change its stance on Israel considering these facts? 1. The Vice-President to be is a self-confessed Zionist and a member of Israeli-American govt group (you can find him talking about him being a zionist on you-tube) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_positions_of_Joe_Biden#Israel 2. The first person Obama appointed. The Chief of Staff is both Israeli and American citizen and flew jets for Israel and his middle name is Israel http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rahm_Emanuel 3. Obama is the first President to say that Jerusalem MUST be completely Israeli http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_positions_of_Barack_Obama#Israel . BY THE WAY This isn't a complaint. I am a Zionist and support Israel. I just don't understand why people think Obama will be any different SORRY That should be self-described NOT self-confessed I apologize

How many people realize that the Democrats elected a retired KKK member to 3rd in line to be President.? Robert Byrd is the Democratic senator from WV and he has been elected by the Democrats to be pres -pro temp which is 3rd in line to be President. Would the media stand for this if the Republicans did this. Why would they elect a man that is the epitome of evil. Here is a quote from him that just makes me sick. “ I shall never fight in the armed forces with a ***** by my side... Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds. ” — Robert C. Byrd, in a letter to Sen. Theodore Bilbo (D-MS) I know this was a few years ago when he said this but someone who talks like this should not be still serving our country in any position. Biden- 1st in line Peloci- 2nd Byrd- 3rd Robert Byrd From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Byrd is President pro tempore of the United States Senate, a position that puts him third in the line of presidential succession, behind Vice President Joe Biden and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. He also held this post previously from 1989 to 1995, briefly in January 2001, and from June 2001 to January 2003.[4] In this role, Sen. Byrd signs bills passed by Congress before they are sent to the president to be signed into law or vetoed. 2 days ago OVER 95% of the KKK were leaders in the southern democratic party It was Northern Republicans that fought them

Read this, and tell me how anyone could possibly think Obama is doing good...? "The inauguration of Barack Obama as the forty-fourth President, and Joe Biden as Vice President, took place on January 20, 2009. In his first few days in office Obama issued executive orders and presidential memoranda reversing President Bush's ban on federal funding to foreign establishments that allow abortions (known as the Mexico City Policy and referred to by critics as the "Global Gag Rule"),[135] changed procedures to promote disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act,[136] directed the U.S. military to develop plans to withdraw troops from Iraq,[137] and reduced the secrecy given to presidential records.[138] He also issued orders closing Guantanamo Bay detention camp "as soon as practicable and no later than" January 2010.[139] The first 100 days of Barack Obama's presidency included his signing into law a $787 billion economic stimulus package on February 17, 2009. The bill included increased federal spending, aid to states, and tax reductions.[140] Although Obama made a high-profile visit to Capitol Hill to engage with Congressional Republicans, the bill ultimately passed largely on a party-line vote.[141] Early in his presidency, Obama moved to implement the war strategy he had campaigned on, scaling back combat operations in Iraq and intensifying the effort in Afghanistan.[142] On February 18, 2009 he announced that the U.S. troop strength in Afghanistan would be boosted by 17,000.[143] On February 27, 2009, Obama declared that combat operations would end in Iraq within 18 months.[144]" Source: Wikipedia
