Presidental capaign 2008 help(John Mccain)? Basically I need help on this: How has the prominence of the internet influenced the rhetoric surrounding the process to nominate a candidate to be the next President of the United States? I need to determine the rhetorical features of John Mccain's speeches. Thanks to anyone that helps.
Will John Mccain win GOP in 2008? He and mitt romney have won two states. I think he has less flaws than the group. Huckabee is too conservative and does poorly in attracting nonevangelicals votes. Giuiani is too liberal supports gay marriages, abortion, and gun control. Mitt Romney is mormon and that has a problem on some christian voters. Out of the whole pack McCain has most experience and is the only war veteran. He attracts alot of vote from liberal and moderate republicans and conservative dems and independents in the primary.
Is the John McCain of 2008, the same John McCain of 2000? TedKenne-As a matter of fact I have. In 2000 I was free to do as I pleased. In 2008 I have to care for my son who was paralyzed in Iraq. TedKenne-And trust me, 100 yrs, whatever. It "ain't" gonna' happen to my grandson. Hopes that answers your question. Obamasmear-I asked a question about Sen. McCain, not Sen. Obama. Sorry you didn't read it too well.

John McCain/Arnold Schwarzengger is that the ticket for 2008 ? He told the newspaper that he was seriously considering a 2008 bid. As he has before, McCain said he will wait until after the 2006 election to decide about his political future. THE political career of Arnold Schwarzengger was predicted in a 1993 movie, "Demolition Man," in which Sylvester Stallone plays an ex-cop put in a 36-year deep freeze for manslaughter. Touring Los Angeles of the future with a cop played by Sandra Bullock, Sly says: "Hold it! The Schwarzenegger Library?" Sandra: "Yes, the Schwarzenegger Presidential Library. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,171757,00.html http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,141278,00.html http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,171647,00.html http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,171839,00.html http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,172963,00.html Schwarzenegger is he braking ranks to make a bid for 2008 by critizing the presidnt ? presidential debate 2008 with john mccain and barack obama? could someone help me with the presidential debate 2008? The one involving obama and mccain. what did they talk about? where was it held? who said what? basically summarize it or send a link involving a summary. NOT who wins? Thank you guys so much. ^.^
Why did the moderates not vote for John McCain in 2008? (Hint: Sarah Palin)? I'm a moderate who *did* vote for McCain in 2008, primarily because of military/national security issues. I have spoken to lots of people (I'd say 10-15) who would have voted for McCain but did not because of Sarah Palin. Even with the economy he still maybe would have lost with a Colin Powell or someone high profile like that, but a lot of people (10-15) have told me Sarah Palin lost the vote, even McCain is now blameing Palin with innuendo. He choose her thou so he's accepting the blame. Anyone agree with me?
John McCain / Hillary Clinton 2008? If John McCain holds on to his lead and avoids a brokered convention and Barack Obama wins the Democratic nomination, What are the odds that McCain will pick Hillary Clinton as his running mate and call it the unity ticket?
Should John McCain thank the democrats when he gives his 2008 victory speech? I personally think that soon-to-be President McCain should thank the democrats when he delivers his victory speech in November. What do you think? They've managed to alienate millions of their OWN voters and look like complete incompetents. I think McCain would have won to begin with - now, it's a cakewalk!
Why President John McCain and Vice President Mitt Romney would be the winning ticket for the USA in 2008? The President of the United States is the Chief Commander of the Armed Forces (John McCain fits the position best). The Vice President of the United States handles more Economic issues (Mitt Romney fits the position best). Obama has no history of either of these positions or much of any successful past at all Clinton is everything the opposite of these positions and wants everything to be a socialist economy and has no armed forces experience. Democrats have no qualified candidates right now for the Presidential seats.
John McCain? He has affirmed that the guards in the prison were sometimes homosexual- "but never to us". Do you think he was raped along with tortured, since rape is a form of torture in itself? http://www.usnews.com/articles/news/2008/01/28/john-mccain-prisoner-of-war-a-first-person-account.html?PageNr=8
Why did John McCain say that "the economy is strong" during the 2008 presidential campaign? I'm doing some research on the campaign, and while Obama also said some dumb stuff (57 states, "my Muslim faith," clinging to guns and religion, 10,000 dead in a Kansas hurricane, etc.) McCain's economy comment was much worse, because people at that moment were terrified about the economy. Why did he make that comment? What did he mean by it? It definitely hurt him in the polls. I'm just wondering what his logic was.
Because John McCain won the Republican nomination? Because John McCain won the Republican nomination? How will most Republican supporters react when on November 4, 2008 Mr. McCain looses the Presidentcy, big time to he Democrat? Will they open their eyes and realize what George Bush has done to their party?
So if John McCain has a heart attack before November 2008, is the election given to the Democrats by default? So if John McCain has a heart attack before November 2008, is the election given to the Democrats by default? McCain is old and looks like he is highly eligible for a heart attack or some other major ailment. I seriously think he could drop dead at any moment because of a heart attack or seizure.... So with that, what happens if he becomes DOA or unable to run? And you know GOP members think about this in the back of their heads too. It's the white elephant in the room that everyone verbally steps around and ignores.
John McCain for president in 2008? He's strong on defense and could even be considered a conservative democrat. Isn't he perfect to ensure the swing vote from both sides of the Liberal/Conservative spectrum? MONICA YOU HAVE BEEN REPORTED FOR ABUSE
Would you like to know more about John McCain? http://www.exploremccain.com/About/ firmly believe that if the Republican lobbyist did not intervene in the 2000 primaries John McCain would be our sitting president today and things would be far better. McCain would have beat Al Gore in a landslide in 2000 ending any trhought of a stolen election which drove the Democratic base out in droves in 2004. Kerry could have never been able to stand against a Vietnam Veteran in 2004 thus another windfall for the Republican party would have been achieved.Senator McCain's ability to court Democrats very well could have proven to help the Republican party gain even more seats in the 2006 Congressional elections instead of us losing the majority. Vote for John McCain in 2008 for a better America and for a better world. Rhio0---In a few months we will see if it is a positive impact. He did not say that it would all out win the war in just a few months. Something tells me you are simply trying to spin words so typically as the left is guilty of. Continue to serve your party with lies and spin and your only helping the conservative agenda. Keep it up and thank you. Seals? He is a war hero and a great one at that. While with 4 broken wounds and multiple bayonette wounds he refused the offer to get released as a POW. He cited international law that dictates POW's are to be released in the order of capture. That's no BS and shame on you. "4 broken limbs" I meant forgive me if my typing get's sloppy while attempting to defend an American hero. I'm appauled a fellow American would state that it's "BS"
isnt John mccain republican John kerry of 2008? Come on republicans... admit it... u know in ur heart he is not the guy. He has no charisma and is an elitist, he doesnt connect with middle class.. Whereas Obama has connected with the pulse of ordinary americans young old, white black brown, poor rich... Millions of people have only one leader in mind Obama! Whats mccain got?!
Will John McCain ensure a Democrat victory in 2008? I can't see McCain to winning the republican nomination for president. I belive he will run as an independent, and split the republican vote. That will insure victory for whichever democrat is in the race. It's happened before, and recently. Remember Ross Perot? He dropped out of the race when it looked like he had a chance to win, but came back in before election day to take votes away from Bush 41. Then he came back 4 years later to take votes away from Bob Dole. See a pattern, yet? No? Okay, who was the benifactor in both cases? Bill Clinton, who won both elections despite never having gotten the majority of the vote. I don't believe in coincidences, but I do believe in patterns. The mainstream media has been pumping McCain up for the last few years. They refer to him as the "republican front-runner." In what pole? Conservatives just don't like the guy. What the media giveth, the media taketh away. Beware, senator. If another Clinton uses this tactic, don't be surprised. Yes, I know, it's early. I just wanted to see if anyone else thought this was valid. I've seen this coming for a while, and thought i'd like to have it in writing for when it actually happens.
John McCain/Colin Powell vs Barack Obama 2008 ??who wins?? Assuming Barack Obama is chosen over Clinton....... if John McCain were to choose Colin Powell as a running mate for the Presidential Elections, where would the "Black" vote go? what about you, who would you prefer?? i personally do not like either Obama or Powell but i would prefer Powell....
Is the Hagee endorsment for John McCain awesome? Reverend John Hagee has officially endorsed John McCain for President and John McCain has proudly accepted this honor. This is the proof we need that John McCain is the very conservative-Christian to fill George Bush' shoes! I hope this dispels the Liberal inuendo that McCains is a moderate. I pray McCain anoints Hagee to oversee the Faith Based initiative programs. http://www.allheadlinenews.com/arti... Restoring a Christ-centered America one endorsement at a time! John McCain in 2008 and again in 2012! Who agrees with me that this is just awesome news? It is the power of God working through poltics! The Liberals are fuming over this endorsment: http://www.pfaw.org/pfaw/general/default.aspx?oid=25053
JOHN McCAIN admits that his stance on Iraq could cost him the 2008 election, what do you think ? The fact is that 60% of Americans still, for the past few years, do NOT support this war. The president's approval ratings is at 30%, and has been for a long time. It will not go any higher than that, I assure you. So with all of the criticism that the Bush Administration has faced, which is 10 times more than any other Administration, do you think Bush can pull a rabbit out of his hat ? As well as the GOP Party ? Don't hold your breath..... John McCain has nothing solid to go on. And many independents are going over to Obama's train. The numbers of his club members, is incredible. And noone wants to join a losing team. Which is why a lot of Republicans are switching to Democrats, or Independents. The war card has played its last hand. Now what ? It is the economy stupid. McCain has zero credibility in that department. So. What do you think he will do ? Thank you SALLY B. You are a very intelligent woman.
Is John Mccain better than Bush? Before you answer, please look at this: http://www.crooksandliars.com/2008/01/04/john-mccain-lets-stay-in-iraq-for-100-years/ .......yeah. I know. Holy crap.
Are the Republicans "settling" on John McCain....???? That is - he is the most acceptable of the remaining candidates but not the most exciting? Or that the other candidates have so much baggage that McCain seems to be the most electable? Is this like 1996 when we knew we were going to lose to Bill Clinton so we nominated Bob Dole because he was an American Hero, he had paid his dues to the party and it was "his turn"? Will McCain appeal to enough independents and conservative Democrats to make up for all the Republican votes he will lose because of his positions on immigration, taxes, campaign finance, etc.? In short - is McCain our 2008 "sacrificial lamb"?
Why did Sen John McCain admit we lost the Vietnam war? Sen. John McCain of Arizona commanded attention in that hearing room, too. The 2008 GOP presidential prospect, a supporter of Bush's troop increase in Iraq, explored the consequences of pulling out of Iraq. "It took us a long time to recover from losing a war in Vietnam ," he said in a reference to Vietnam, where he spent five years as a prisoner. Of course the way we are going we will lose Iraq too. We will see shame soon. No way can this country win in Iraq due to it being like Vietnam.
2008 ELECTIONS: Hillary, McCain triumph in New Hampshire...? Hillary Clinton narrowly edged d triumphant of Iowa primary Barack Obama in red-hot Democrats contest 39 to 37%, while John McCain gained 37% of Republican votes compared to 32% of nearest competitor Mick Romney. This means candidates that emerged victors in Iowa last week had failed to retain their leading status. What's yr opinion? Has Hillary Clinton's near-tear incident last Monday affected some potential voters? Will this 'upset victory' really upset Iowa caucus winner Barack Obama? Does this result reflect what to expect in upcoming primaries? Does this result cement d unpredactibility of results of this elections? DONT FORGET D STARS IF QUESTION INTERESTING thanks for all d answers!
2008 Presidential Election....Republican representative? Okay I have seen several names in the news for Republicans that would like to run in 2008.....John McCain.....former Wisconsin Governor Tommy Thompson....and former NY mayor Rudy Giuliani. Who would you like to see run and why?
Is John McCain too old? If McCain wins the presidency in 2008, will he be too old, and not mentally and/or physically unfit, to carry out his duties? Could he pass away during his term? I hope not!
Who do you want as US President in 2008? Which one of these candidates do you want as president of the United States in 2008? John McCain Mitt Romney Mike Huckabee Hillary Clinton Barack Obama John Edwards Please explain why?
The GOP straw polls say John McCain?!? The lastest straw polls in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina have McCain at 36%. Why is "Bush44" attrcative to more than a third of these people? A wanton flip-flopper(Romney) and a wanton whatever(Guiliani) arent "Republican enough"? What is wrong with these people? Where's the sense of direrction? You know what I think it is. I think they're getting mentally prepared to get their heads handed to them in 2008 so they are going with the candidate most in line with Bush, so they can at least say "We tried to stay the course all along" and STILL not admitting Bush is out of touch with the American people.
