Why not Mike Huckabee? I'm not a Republican, so I want to know why Mike Huckabee is not getting as much support as he should be. I opposed the amnesty bill that was defeated by the Senate in June. I support the $3 billion that Congress recently appropriated for border security. . . [It will be] used to end "catch and release" by providing money to "catch and detain" those caught entering illegally and to crack down on those who enter legally, but overstay their visas. These border security provisions will stem the tide of illegals, which is what we must do before we can turn the tide and deal with those who are already here." He doesn't specify what he will do with the illegals here who are not causing trouble (hmmm....) but at least he's right on the point that if we don't get the borders secure FIRST, then we can't make a difference deporting the ones already inside. At least he seems to be against amnesty - if he was FOR amnesty, he wouldn't have my vote either! Btw, HM: if we nominate Hilary and she wins, how much damage would she do before we get get her out??? We can only hope it would be fixable, and personally I would rather have ANYONE other than Hilary at this point....
