barack obama? so barrack obama is thinking about running in '08 and white people are going crazy with the sarcastic remarks on how he'll never win because he's so inexperienced(not that every white person is saying that). never mind that our present chief-of-state is a dim-wit, what would make Obama any worse. I've yet to witness him in a speech, but already I know that people don't think he'll win. Bush loves talking about how Reps welcome blacks, yet he's talking a bit too much about Obama, he's practically running a whole anti-Obama campaign, why is that? Hmmmmmmm!!!!! Oh, My, God, I just realized I said Bush, I meant Rush, as in Rush Limbaugh, or whatever his VIagra-Taking self calls himself. I'm not venting

Anyone know what kind of speech pattern Barack Obama has? Obama has a certain rhythm or cadence to his voice. He has a tendency to enunciate the second syllable of his words. Can anyone trace his speech pattern to a certain area, type, or ethnicity? It would probably be more accurate to say that Obama emphasizes the second part of a sentence or the final word in a sentence.

I believe Barack Obama would make a better president than Hillary Clinton. Does anyone agree? I think he can bring people together better than Hillary. We,ve had enough of the bickering between partys and Hillary will just make it worse. I thought Barack's speech today in Alabama was fantastic. I see Baracks support from blacks has gone way up, past Hillarys. I think he will beat Hillary for the nomination and win the Presidency! And that will be great for the country. Time for a Green president, someone who will help the enviroment and make the USA that shinning light that all countrys look up to.
Is our government monitoring Barack Hussein Obama speeches for possible signals being sent to al qaeda? if not, should they? The racist remarks by liberals to this question are appalling
Your thoughts about Barack Obama? Will endorsing of firing Don Imus effect Barack Obama's rating? Hi. A few days ago I found out that Barack Obama (Middle Name-Hussein) had endorsed of firing Don Imus in his speech in Washington. Honestly, I was very surprised hearing this sad news. I've always considered Obama as a sober, cold-minded without any racial prejudices.I lost my faith in him. Also, I can't trust him as long as his friends are Al Shiton and Asse Jackson. Those people consider themselves Christians and can not forgive others just for the stupid words. The truth about Jesse Jackson: http://www.jessejackson.org/ This guy is right about them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=we_8fgii2... Ohh, I forgot to mention Louis Farrakhan is backing Obama. That's why we can not have Black president, only in Africa.
Is Barack Obama overrated? Obama made a great speech at last Democrat convention in 2004 and became a media star. He is now being seen as potential President. IMHO, he is still raw and inexperienced. So far, we have seen a lot of hype and style and still has much to prove in terms of substance. BTW, if you have not noticed, I am back after managing to stave off bankruptcy and avoiding sleeping on the streets ! If people like Dubya Bush and Obama can be President, I may considering running for President in 2008 also. If you support me, vote at TheErrandboy site :)
Do people think Senator Barack Obama should of gave a speech in Europe while running for President? I do not feel that Senator Barack Obama should of given the speech in Europe. I think him going to a War zone is good and meeting with the troops is good. He is just a canidate trying to get elected he is not the President. You don't see other Senators or Congress Men doing this. 200,000 Germans went to see him speak oh boy! I think that he went out of bounds.
I need to find the text of a certain speech by Barack Obama? The speech has to do with characterization or characters in America. It is for American Literature class so it might also have to do with characters in American Literature or the American Dream or the American Ideal (the last two are yearlong themes so they would probably be more minor themes in the speech). Anybody think they know which speech I am talking about or where to find the text or a video.
What do you think of this speech that Barack Obama made? The Scripture tells us that when Joshua and the Israelites arrived at the gates of Jericho, they could not enter. The walls of the city were too steep for any one person to climb; too strong to be taken down with brute force. And so they sat for days, unable to pass on through. But God had a plan for his people. He told them to stand together and march together around the city, and on the seventh day he told them that when they heard the sound of the ram's horn, they should speak with one voice. And at the chosen hour, when the horn sounded and a chorus of voices cried out together, the mighty walls of Jericho came tumbling down. There are many lessons to take from this passage, just as there are many lessons to take from this day, just as there are many memories that fill the space of this church. As I was thinking about which ones we need to remember at this hour, my mind went back to the very beginning of the modern Civil Rights Era. Because before Memphis and the mountaintop; before the bridge in Selma and the march on Washington; before Birmingham and the beatings; the fire hoses and the loss of those four little girls; before there was King the icon and his magnificent dream, there was King the young preacher and a people who found themselves suffering under the yoke of oppression. And on the eve of the bus boycotts in Montgomery, at a time when many were still doubtful about the possibilities of change, a time when those in the black community mistrusted themselves, and at times mistrusted each other, King inspired with words not of anger, but of an urgency that still speaks to us today: "Unity is the great need of the hour" is what King said. Unity is how we shall overcome. What Dr. King understood is that if just one person chose to walk instead of ride the bus, those walls of oppression would not be moved. But maybe if a few more walked, the foundation might start to shake. If a few more women were willing to do what Rosa Parks had done, maybe the cracks would start to show. If teenagers took freedom rides from North to South, maybe a few bricks would come loose. Maybe if white folks marched because they had come to understand that their freedom too was at stake in the impending battle, the wall would begin to sway. And if enough Americans were awakened to the injustice; if they joined together, North and South, rich and poor, Christian and Jew, then perhaps that wall would come tumbling down, and justice would flow like water, and righteousness like a mighty stream. Unity is the great need of the hour -- the great need of this hour. Not because it sounds pleasant or because it makes us feel good, but because it's the only way we can overcome the essential deficit that exists in this country. I'm not talking about a budget deficit. I'm not talking about a trade deficit. I'm not talking about a deficit of good ideas or new plans. I'm talking about a moral deficit. I'm talking about an empathy deficit. I'm taking about an inability to recognize ourselves in one another; to understand that we are our brother's keeper; we are our sister's keeper; that, in the words of Dr. King, we are all tied together in a single garment of destiny. We have an empathy deficit when we're still sending our children down corridors of shame -- schools in the forgotten corners of America where the color of your skin still affects the content of your education. We have a deficit when CEOs are making more in ten minutes than some workers make in ten months; when families lose their homes so that lenders make a profit; when mothers can't afford a doctor when their children get sick. We have a deficit in this country when there is Scooter Libby justice for some and Jena justice for others; when our children see nooses hanging from a schoolyard tree today, in the present, in the twenty-first century. We have a deficit when homeless veterans sleep on the streets of our cities; when innocents are slaughtered in the deserts of Darfur; when young Americans serve tour after tour of duty in a war that should've never been authorized and never been waged. And we have a deficit when it takes a breach in our levees to reveal a breach in our compassion; when it takes a terrible storm to reveal the hungry that God calls on us to feed; the sick He calls on us to care for; the least of these He commands that we treat as our own. So we have a deficit to close. We have walls -- barriers to justice and equality -- that must come down. And to do this, we know that unity is the great need of this hour. Unfortunately, all too often when we talk about unity in this country, we've come to believe that it can be purchased on the cheap. We've come to believe that racial reconciliation can come easily -- that it's just a matter of a few ignorant people trapped in the prejudices of the past, and that if the demagogues and those who exploit our racial divisions will simply go away, then all our problems would be solved. All too often, we seek to ignore the profound institutional barriers that stand in the way of ensuring opportunity for all children, or decent jobs for all people, or health care for those who are sick. We long for unity, but are unwilling to pay the price. But of course, true unity cannot be so easily won. It starts with a change in attitudes -- a broadening of our minds, and a broadening of our hearts. It's not easy to stand in somebody else's shoes. It's not easy to see past our differences. We've all encountered this in our own lives. But what makes it even more difficult is that we have a politics in this country that seeks to drive us apart -- that puts up walls between us. We are told that those who differ from us on a few things are different from us on all things; that our problems are the fault of those who don't think like us or look like us or come from where we do. The welfare queen is taking our tax money. The immigrant is taking our jobs. The believer condemns the non-believer as immoral, and the non-believer chides the believer as intolerant. For most of this country's history, we in the African-American community have been at the receiving end of man's inhumanity to man. And all of us understand intimately the insidious role that race still sometimes plays -- on the job, in the schools, in our health care system, and in our criminal justice system. And yet, if we are honest with ourselves, we must admit that none of our hands are entirely clean. If we're honest with ourselves, we'll acknowledge that our own community has not always been true to King's vision of a beloved community. We have scorned our gay brothers and sisters instead of embracing them. The scourge of anti-Semitism has, at times, revealed itself in our community. For too long, some of us have seen immigrants as competitors for jobs instead of companions in the fight for opportunity. Every day, our politics fuels and exploits this kind of division across all races and regions; across gender and party. It is played out on television. It is sensationalized by the media. And last week, it even crept into the campaign for President, with charges and counter-charges that served to obscure the issues instead of illuminating the critical choices we face as a nation. So let us say that on this day of all days, each of us carries with us the task of changing our hearts and minds. The division, the stereotypes, the scape-goating, the ease with which we blame our plight on others -- all of this distracts us from the common challenges we face -- war and poverty; injustice and inequality. We can no longer afford to build ourselves up by tearing someone else down. We can no longer afford to traffic in lies or fear or hate. It is the poison that we must purge from our politics; the wall that we must tear down before the hour grows too late. Because if Dr. King could love his jailor; if he could call on the faithful who once sat where you do to forgive those who set dogs and fire hoses upon them, then surely we can look past what divides us in our time, and bind up our wounds, and erase the empathy deficit that exists in our hearts. But if changing our hearts and minds is the first critical step, we cannot stop there. It is not enough to bemoan the plight of poor children in this country and remain unwilling to push our elected officials to provide the resources to fix our schools. It is not enough to decry the disparities of health care and yet allow the insurance companies and the drug companies to block much-needed reforms. It is not enough for us to abhor the costs of a misguided war, and yet allow ourselves to be driven by a politics of fear that sees the threat of attack as way to scare up votes instead of a call to come together around a common effort. The Scripture tells us that we are judged not just by word, but by deed. And if we are to truly bring about the unity that is so crucial in this time, we must find it within ourselves to act on what we know; to understand that living up to this country's ideals and its possibilities will require great effort and resources; sacrifice and stamina. And that is what is at stake in the great political debate we are having today. The changes that are needed are not just a matter of tinkering at the edges, and they will not come if politicians simply tell us what we want to hear. All of us will be called upon to make some sacrifice. None of us will be exempt from responsibility. We will have to fight to fix our schools, but we will also have to challenge ourselves to be better parents. We will have to confront the biases in our criminal justice system, but we will also have to acknowledge the deep-seated violence that still resides in our own communities and marshal the will to break its grip. That is how we will bring about the change we seek. That is how Dr. King led this country through the wilderness. He did it with words -- words that he spoke not just to the children of slaves, but the children of slave owners. Words that inspired not just black but also white; not just the Christian but the Jew; not just the Southerner but also the Northerner. He led with words, but he also led with deeds. He also led by example. He led by marching and going to jail and suffering threats and being away from his family. He led by taking a stand against a war, knowing full well that it would diminish his popularity. He led by challenging our economic structures, understanding that it would cause discomfort. Dr. King understood that unity cannot be won on the cheap; that we would have to earn it through great effort and determination. That is the unity -- the hard-earned unity -- that we need right now. It is that effort, and that determination, that can transform blind optimism into hope -- the hope to imagine, and work for, and fight for what seemed impossible before. The stories that give me such hope don't happen in the spotlight. They don't happen on the presidential stage. They happen in the quiet corners of our lives. They happen in the moments we least expect. Let me give you an example of one of those stories. There is a young, twenty-three year old white woman named Ashley Baia who organizes for our campaign in Florence, South Carolina. She's been working to organize a mostly African-American community since the beginning of this campaign, and the other day she was at a roundtable discussion where everyone went around telling their story and why they were there. And Ashley said that when she was nine years old, her mother got cancer. And because she had to miss days of work, she was let go and lost her health care. They had to file for bankruptcy, and that's when Ashley decided that she had to do something to help her mom. She knew that food was one of their most expensive costs, and so Ashley convinced her mother that what she really liked and really wanted to eat more than anything else was mustard and relish sandwiches. Because that was the cheapest way to eat. She did this for a year until her mom got better, and she told everyone at the roundtable that the reason she joined our campaign was so that she could help the millions of other children in the country who want and need to help their parents too. So Ashley finishes her story and then goes around the room and asks everyone else why they're supporting the campaign. They all have different stories and reasons. Many bring up a specific issue. And finally they come to this elderly black man who's been sitting there quietly the entire time. And Ashley asks him why he's there. And he does not bring up a specific issue. He does not say health care or the economy. He does not say education or the war. He does not say that he was there because of Barack Obama. He simply says to everyone in the room, "I am here because of Ashley." By itself, that single moment of recognition between that young white girl and that old black man is not enough. It is not enough to give health care to the sick, or jobs to the jobless, or education to our children. But it is where we begin. It is why the walls in that room began to crack and shake. And if they can shake in that room, they can shake in Atlanta. And if they can shake in Atlanta, they can shake in Georgia. And if they can shake in Georgia, they can shake all across America. And if enough of our voices join together; we can bring those walls tumbling down. The walls of Jericho can finally come tumbling down. That is our hope -- but only if we pray together, and work together, and march together. Brothers and sisters, we cannot walk alone. In the struggle for peace and justice, we cannot walk alone. In the struggle for opportunity and equality, we cannot walk alone In the struggle to heal this nation and repair this world, we cannot walk alone. So I ask you to walk with me, and march with me, and join your voice with mine, and together we will sing the song that tears down the walls that divide us, and lift up an America that is truly indivisible, with liberty, and justice, for all. May God bless the memory of the great pastor of this church, and may God bless the United States of America.
Is Barack Obama just smart or is he a visionary regarding Iraq war? Everyhting he wrote in his pre-war speech has come to pass. check out at http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Barack_Obama%27s_Iraq_Speech "Saddam poses no imminent and direct threat to the United States, or to his neighbors, that the Iraqi economy is in shambles, that the Iraqi military a fraction of its former strength, and that in concert with the international community he can be contained until, in the way of all petty dictators, he falls away into the dustbin of history. I know that even a successful war against Iraq will require a US occupation of undetermined length, at undetermined cost, with undetermined consequences.I know that an invasion of Iraq without a clear rationale and without strong international support will only fan the flames of the middle east, and encourage the worst, rather than best, impulses of the Arab world, and strengthen the recruitment arm of Al Queda. Did we Really Choose Hope Over Fear(Barack Obama Inaugural Speech)? This has to be the best part of his speech! Barack Obama Inaugural Speech Hope Over Fear http://www.webcastr.com/videos/news/Barack-Obama-inaugural-Speech-Hope-Over-Fear.html Stepping into history, Barack Hussein Obama grasped the reins of power as America's first black president on Tuesday, saying the nation must choose "hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord" to overcome the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression.
Senator Barack Obama’s speech on race argued that as a nation talking about race issues and relations has been a taboo. Do you agree or disagree with his views on race in the U.S.? Not his political views as a candidate but this speech on race in the U.S.

Is Barack Obama a hypocrite? He has been criticizing Hillary for her vote in favor of labeling the Iranian National Guard a terrorist organization, but interestingly enough Barack Obama never showed up to make that vote, when all the other candidates at the debate did, never spoke against until the vote was already, and now we find out he held the same position as her? “Who said this? “Such a reduced but active presence will also send a clear message to hostile countries like Iran and Syria that we intend to remain a key player in this region.” Later in the same speech, he said: “Make no mistake, if the Iranians and Syrians think they can use Iraq as another Afghanistan or a staging area from which to attack Israel or other countries, they are badly mistaken. It is in our national interest to prevent this from happening.” George Bush? Nope. The latest from Dick Cheney? Guess again. Language from Kyl-Lieberman? Sorry. That was Senator Obama in late 2006 making the case for why maintaining a military force in Iraq is necessary to constrain Iran's ambitions. But that was then. This is now: Stagnant in the polls and struggling to revive his once-buoyant campaign, Senator Obama has abandoned the politics of hope and embarked on a journey in search of a campaign issue to use against Senator Clinton. Nevermind that he made the very argument he is now criticizing back in November 2006. Nevermind that he co-sponsored a bill designating the Iranian Revolutionary Guard a global terrorist group back in April. Nevermind that his colleague from Illinois – Dick Durbin – voted the same way as Senator Clinton on Kyl-Lieberman and said “If I thought there was any way it could be used as a pretense to launch an invasion of Iran I would have voted no.” Today, in order to justify his opposition to Kyl-Lieberman, Senator Obama says that such language is bellicose and gives the President a blank check to take the country to war. But if Senator Obama really believed this measure gave the President a blank check for war, shouldn’t he have been in the Senate on the day of the vote, speaking out, and fighting against it? Instead he did nothing, remained totally silent, skipped the vote and spoke out only after the vote” From Msnbc And btw, I am not supporting Hillary Clinton..
How has your opinion of Barack Obama changed after his speech yesterday? Has it changed or has it remained the same? Why? Why do you think he succeeded or failed in communicating the message he needed to convey in the wake of the Reverend Wright controversy?
Is it just me, or did Barack Obama try to sound like Martin Luthar King during his victory speech last night? I congratulate him for the win, but the emphasis of his words last night and his tone made it sound like he was trying to sound like MLK. Do you agree??
Does Barack Obama write his own speeches? (see question) The reason I ask is that a talking head on Fox reported he writes his speeches, which his wife proofreads. Does anyone have a reliable source proving otherwise?

Why does Obama copy the great racist Malcom X in his last speech? Obama the race baiter strikes again and this time in the words of super Muslim and racist Malcolm X. Coincidence? "They're trying to bamboozle you. It's the same old okie-doke. Y'all know about okie doke, right? ... They try to bamboozle you. Hoodwink ya. Try to hoodwink ya.” - Barack Obama in a speech January 24, 2008 "You've been hoodwinked. You've been had. You've been took. You've been led astray, led amok. You’ve been bamboozled." - Malcolm X ____________________________ If any other candidate gave a speech that included phrases from, say, a white power leader, he/she would be berated by the Obama campaign and the media as a racist and the world would come to end. It's this kind of astounding double standards that will keep America from voting for this con man Obama.
How can Barack Obama criticize Hillary Clinton on her Iran vote, when he co-sponsored the same bill, in April?
Why is Barack Hussein Obama running as a Democrat when in his speech last night he said he was going to take.. this country in a different direction than the Democrats and Republicans want for this Nation. Is it because he is still enjoying the Graft from his Stint in the ILLINOIS Senate as a Democrat?Cheap Mansions and illegal Campaign money that he couldn't have got as an Independent.Granted he donated $40,000 to Charity, of the $120,000 he got from Rezko. That was only after it was revealed.(he was Caught)http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0geu8wIVbJHjD0BzslXNyoA;_ylu=X3oDMTExbTV0dDR1BHNlYwNzcgRwb3MDMQRjb2xvA2FjMgR2dGlkAwRsA1dTMQ--/SIG=14gu2495e/EXP=1202955912/**http%3a//www.newsbusters.org/blogs/scott-whitlock/2008/01/10/after-near-total-silence-abc-finally-investigates-obama-land-deal So my question is, if he is distancing himself from the Party ,and is So Different ,then why is he wearing the JackAss on his Sleeve to try to get elected? If he is so sure of himself Why don't he Get out of the Party Altogether? How come Senator Barack Obama did not give a victory speech after winning Wyoming? I have no doubt that if it was Hillary, she would be all over the TV showing off and making a big deal out of it.. What's up with that?
Why did Barack Obama defend Wright in his race speech, but not his white grandmother? He had only excuses for Wright and then used his grandmother as an example of white racism. Why didn't he defend his grandma after too?
why does barack obama after all his speeches plays the same song signed sealed delievered? its like got subliminal messages like a cult in it? why do people like this guy? he has no experience and preaches a thing called change and hope same as martin luther king dreamed up years ago. people need to wake up to this smooth talker non doer of a senator! What experience does Barack Obama have that qualifies him to be President? This question is not designed as an attack on Barack Obama...to me, he seems like a capitivating individual and a media darling...but I only recall him being a state senator, before he ran for federal Senator. I like the guy, but you don't give an NFL head coaching job to a high school coach, no matter how successful...Is giving a good speech and serving a year as a Senator enough to be elected President? What do you think? Thanks for your input kniggs, but that's not really an answer...my question is "Why should I vote for Obama?" I attempted to make this a non-partisan question...yet I received responses such as "you voted the 'decider' into office"...I'm actually a democrat, trying to find out why Obama is so great....?

Why would Security in Dallas STOP checking for Guns before Obama speech? DALLAS -- Security details at Barack Obama's rally Wednesday stopped screening people for weapons at the front gates more than an hour before the Democratic presidential candidate took the stage at Reunion Arena. The order to put down the metal detectors and stop checking purses and laptop bags came as a surprise to several Dallas police officers who said they believed it was a lapse in security. Dallas Deputy Police Chief T.W. Lawrence, head of the Police Department's homeland security and special operations divisions. The order -- apparently made by the U.S. Secret Service -- was meant to speed up the long lines outside and fill the arena's vacant seats before Obama came on. Is Karl Rove in Dallas?
Barack Obama is going to give a speech today in an attempt to explain away his churches, and his? RACIST beliefs, Why doesn't he man up and stand on what his Pastor and his wife obviously believe?

Barack Obama is in favor of teaching sex education to Kindergartners? ABC News' Teddy Davis and Lindsey Ellerson Report: Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., told Planned Parenthood Tuesday that sex education for kindergarteners, as long as it is "age-appropriate," is "the right thing to do." "I remember Alan Keyes . . . I remember him using this in his campaign against me," Obama said in reference to the conservative firebrand who ran against him for the U.S. Senate in 2004. Sex education for kindergarteners had become an issue in his race against Keyes because of Obama’s work on the issue as chairman of the health committee in the Illinois state Senate. "'Barack Obama supports teaching sex education to kindergarteners,'" said Obama mimicking Keyes' distinctive style of speech. "Which -- I didn’t know what to tell him (laughter)." "But it’s the right thing to do," Obama continued, "to provide age-appropriate sex education, science-based sex education in schools." See link - http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/2007/07/sex-ed-for-kind.html Question - What are your thoughts on this ?
Everyone is saying that the speech by Barack Hussein Obama tomorrow, will be his total undoing unless he can. convince a LOT of American White People to change their minds about Rev Wright and himself. According to the latest AP and Rasmussen Polls, his new ratings are dropping fast and a nomination won't mean anything if he should get it with the deligate vote. Do you think he can pull it off? @Wounded Duck - When someone says "G..D... America" and they are as serious as the Rev Wright was and you are not disturbed by it, Good for you. Personally, I along with millions of others will not stand for it. Obama will not be elected and you sir, can count on that.
Is Barack Obama the only candidate to openly support the separation of church and state? “This separation is critical to our form of government because in the end, democracy demands that the religiously motivated translate their concerns into universal, rather than religion-specific, values. It requires that their proposals be subject to argument, and amenable to reason. If I am opposed to abortion for religious reasons but seek to pass a law banning the practice, I cannot simply point to the teachings of my church. I have to explain why abortion violates some principle that is accessible to people of all faiths, including those with no faith at all.” - Barack Obama's speech on faith .

How many have listened to a speech by Sen. Barack Obama? Everytime I have listened to speaking appointments, I am amazed that we haven't elected someone as empathetic, for the people, and genuine as him into office sooner. My question is: How many of you would support Barack Obama if he were to be the Democratic nominee to the presidency in '08?
Did Barack Obama wrote this speech? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2fZHou18Cdk&feature=related
What is the appeal of Hillary Clinton over Barack Obama? If experience is the true argument, why is Hillary Clinton's stint as First Lady considered more viable political experience than Barack Obama's time as a community organizer, state senator and US Senator? And why, even after watching her passionate speech to GO TO war, does the electorate appear to ignore that Senator Obama was against it from the start?
Obama said he wants affordable healthcare. Do you think he has a plan for an insurance commissioner or what? "I...believe that every American has the right to affordable health care. I believe that the millions of Americans who can't take their children to a doctor when they get sick have that right...We now face an opportunity - and an obligation - to turn the page on the failed politics of yesterday's health care debates. It's time to bring together businesses, the medical community, and members of both parties around a comprehensive solution to this crisis, and it's time to let the drug and insurance industries know that while they'll get a seat at the table, they don't get to buy every chair." -Barack Obama, Speech in Iowa City, IA, 5/27/07 Not UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE, there is a difference.

Is Barack Obama really for change? The media has dubbed him the “progressive” candidate.. But what really is so different about him? “Obama's sixth and seventh important acts as a senator were to vote for a bill that made it nearly impossible for ordinary people to sue giant corporations who rob, defraud, maim or kill, and another vote to renew the hated Patriot Act which he vigorously campaigned against. And though Senator Obama now claims to oppose the war in Iraq, he remains advocate of bombing Iran to start yet another.” “Today, the Obama campaign is celebrating the 5th anniversary of the speech that then-State Senator Barack Obama gave opposing the invasion of Iraq. But unfortunately, they forgot to celebrate another anniversary. July 26th marked the 3rd anniversary of the New York Times story in which Obama admitted that he did not know how he would have voted on the Iraq resolution had he been serving in the United States Senate at the time of the vote.” -NBC
Why does Barack Obama seem to possess a growing popularity with the younger generation ? Quoting Wikipedia: "Supporters and critics have likened Obama's popular image to a cultural Rorschach test, a neutral persona on which people can project their personal histories and aspirations. Obama's own self-narrative reinforces what a May 2004 New Yorker magazine article described as his "everyman" image".." Do you agree with this statement, and whether it may be a factor to the seemingly growing popularity of Obama, despite all the controversies that loam around him ? Looking at it with an objective mind, it seems to me that many factors may contribute to this phenomenon, including the current events suffered by the current administration, the apparently revolutionary tone that Obama employs in his speeches, and maybe even the Internet as a new key player to the whole election campaigning process. Regardless of my own political choice for 2008, or yours, I believe we can agree that this is indeed a phenomenon to be studied. What's your thoughts ? Thank you in advance!
I believe Barack Obama would be a better president. How about you? Have you seen Obama's Victory Speech. Its great! If not, you can watch it at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqoFwZUp5vc
What kind of "CHANGE" does Barack Obama refers to in his speeches? Whenever I listen to his speeches he mentions the word "Change" so many times that it makes me change the channel. What does he really want to do?
The future of Barack Obama? Barack Obama's future hinges on this election one way or the other. If you think about it, what he is doing is pretty brash. As a first term senator who has only been involved in national politics for four years he has established himself as the main challenge to the Clinton control of the Democratic party. In many ways he's taking a similar path as John F. Kennedy did. Obama, like Kennedy, is an attractive, young, well spoken politician. Kennedy gained attention in 1956 when he was almost selected for Vice President, and it gave him the celebrity and the momentum he needed to get the nomination in 1960. Obama gained much attention and celebrity from the speech he made at the convention in 2004. What happens next will be interesting. If Hillary gets the nomination and loses then he would automatically be the main frontrunner for 2012. But if she wins the election he could be SOL. He could decide to try to work with the Clintons but the Clinton people could also punish him for going up against him, and inevitably the people who had supported the Clintons from the beginning would believe they deserved more power in the party. He took a risk running this year, so early in his career, but it also would have been a risk not to run, his luster could have worn off, people could have forgotten about him and he could have lost the influence he could have had. What do you think?
Is Barack Hussein Obama ashamed of our US Flag and what it represents? Are his ideas of patriotism better than what our US Flag symbolizes? http://www.brownielocks.com/JohnWaynePOA.html http://www.usflag.org/ Obama Won't Wear American Flag Pin By Steve Nicoles, Reporter By Mike Wagner IOWA CITY - Presidential Candidate Barack Obama is trying to change political fashion. He gave a speech in Iowa City Wednesday and he wasn't wearing an American flag pin. Those pins have become synonymous with politicians since 9-11. Obama says he doesn't like how the pin has come to represent patriotism in America. The senator told TV-9, "I decided I won't wear that pin on my chest, instead I'm going to try to tell the American people what I believe will make this country great. Hopefully that will be a testimony to my patriotism." This was Obama's second visit to Johnson County in as many days. http://www.kcrg.com/news/local/10232921.html None of you making accusations about me have a clue about what I think or believe as I have not given any indication of same. However, you have jumped to your own conclusions without research which is what supporters of Obama do. I don't think wearing a pin defines who you are or what you believe, but I do question his intent - which is why I asked this question.
