If I'm understanding this correctly, Obama can become our President, our Commander-in-Chief during times of war, yet he can't even be hired as a security guard for a major armored truck company? Fact: A person who is convicted of a felony cannot run for President of the United States. Obama once used cocaine, which means he committed a felony. If anyone is convicted as a felon in the United States, under almost all state constitutions, he or she would lose the right to vote and the right to hold elected office. Yet, we may be on the verge of electing a felon, albeit an unconvicted felon, to the Presidency of these United States. So, my simple question is, from a strictly legal—not moral—standpoint: why will Obama, who has admitted he once used illicit drugs, be allowed to run for President of the United States?

The one thing that I keep hearing from the Clinton camp is that Obama lacks experience. I understand that Hillary entered the US Senate in 2001 and Barack entered in 2005. Has Hillary done any governmental jobs prior to that? I think people are running her and her husband, Bill's, accomplishments together. HE served as US President. Can we then let Hillary put that on her resume? To me, both are new to US Government, Hillary may have a slight lead of 4 years, but it is not enough to call her opponent inexperienced, or is it? Where is her 35 years experience? All I, and most of America, know about is her run in the US Senate. Where do people get the idea that Senator Barack Obama is a Muslim?? I think a great deal of Americans actually think he is a Muslim. It is really sad, in my opinion. The fact is, that Obama's Kenyan father was raised Muslim. (Keep in mind that Kenya is a Muslim nation). His father converted to Christianity, before dying at a young age. Today, Obama is a member of the Church of Christ, and he is a devout Christian. PROVE TO ME I AM WRONG! From what I see on the answers to other questions people seem to think he is Muslim. Where does this come from? A couple people have said he converted Christian. If this is true, prove it! He is a member of the United Church of Christ, and always has been. And one of you said "so what if he is a muslim." Good point. I honestly wouldn't vote a muslim, but most muslims are very good people. He alleges that he excercises judgement better than Clinton since he was the one that protested the Iraq war when she had voted to go to war. He says continuously that Clinton was involved in our country's current crisis by casting a vote in a 50/50 chance of getting it right. He also has admitted to smoking crack in the past. Byrd's position on the basis of having been in the KKK...reading my paraphrased quote makes it look that way. He validates it because of Byrd's shift in perspectives over his many years, his respect for Obama, and most importantly, how Byrd now stands to protect against "passions of the moment." Again, I'm not stating this proves anything and I'm sure to some extent this quote was politically charged. But nowhere have I read anything to promote the notion that Obama IS a racist.
