Iowa, democrate, hillary clinton (4th January 07)? Please can someone explain to me what's going on in the USA presidency? I am confused! Trying to keep up here, but can't. No-one else is smart enough to explain... Is Hilary Clinton OUT? Who's winning? What's happening? Help? Thanks in advance, Teenager Harbouring Angst!
Did anyone see Bill Clinton behind Hillary and Chelsea at a rally in Iowa? He looked like he aged overnight...white, thinning fluffed up hair, lost a lot of weight (maybe too much in the face)...he looked in his 80's to me...as old or older than Jimmy Carter looks...I don't think it can help Hillary's campaign, if people want to see the old Bill back, then he is not the old Bill we knew before...he is a much OLDER looking Bill...SAD, VERY,SAD...I think the heart attack and stress has been a heavy burden on him...
Is Hillary Clinton doomed and may Obama and Huckabee matchup in November? Hillary Clinton came in third in Iowa she trailed john edwards and barack obama. She is considered to be too liberal and it seems that wont work in the south and the midwest. Obama won iowa even though only 2% of the citizens are black and hillary lost even though the largest porportion of voters were white women.
What do you think Billy Dale (travelgate) would say about the Hillary Clinton meltdown and loss in Iowa/N.H,? Who do you believe - the waitress that said she did not get a tip - or Hillary Clinton? Hillary has a LONG and well documented past of NOT telling the truth. Why would a waitress LIE about not getting a tip from her? http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=16143435 Morning Edition, November 9, 2007 · A waitress causes a stir on the political blogs. The waitress at a Maid-Rite restaurant in Iowa says she did not get a tip after serving presidential hopeful Sen. Hillary Clinton, a Democrat from New York. But the Clinton campaign says a $100 tip was left at the diner. "Why would I lie about not getting a tip?" she told NPR. She also maintained that her co-workers at the restaurant had not received tips. Who do you believe?
Obama is losing the battle in the majority of key states across the country to Hillary Clinton.? Do you think it's the result of the debates? His naive foreign policy statements? She just keeps gaining ground. Is there anything Obama can do to stop the Hillary Clinton freight train? http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/state... CA: 49% to 19% FL: 41% to 18% Michigan: 32% to 16% New Jersey: 46% to 20% Nevada: 33% to 19% NH: 33% to 24% In two states, Iowa and SC, she is ahead, but only by the margin of error. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/... hooter: Get more money? He already has more money in his coffers than Hillary, that hasn't made a difference as of yet. notyou: Edwards is so far behind both of them I didn't even bother posting his numbers. What's your theory behind you thinking he can beat either of them? Deep Thought: That was interesting, but I have to wonder how it can be that the Republican Party is still organized enough for this "plan." They've become divided and are still trying to find a candidate that isn't "None of the Above." Also, it strikes me that everyone who claims the Republicans will key on Clinton with so much success don't take into consideration the determination of the Democratic Party to match their efforts with their own determination and strategy. I think what you point about the last 16 years is what is going to hurt the Republicans, not Hillary. People are sick to death of the Republican's rehashing of the Clinton witch hunts of the 90's. I don't think they're going to get a whole lot of leverage depending on those tactics again. But, that's just my opinion of course. I'm sure we're going to get the chance to find out. It's likely that she will be the nominee, though nothing is set in stone yet, as you pointed out. Alias: I appreciate your analysis about this campaign, you obviously put a lot of thought into it. But we do disagree on two key points. Hillary's negatives have declined sharply, even from six months ago. If you want to point to polls, the Newsweek Poll from the beginning of July showed her negative has gone down to 34%. That's a significant drop. I http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19623564/site/newsweek/ The other point is that I think Clinton is far and above the best candidate available to us from either party.
Hillary Clinton Says She Can Build Bipartisan Coalition...is she dreaming or on drugs? Conservatives HATE her. She is a liar and her husband is a pervert. "Heck NO" to having them back in The White House. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/10/09/AR2007100902284_pf.html CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton pushed back against criticism from fellow Democrats that she is too polarizing to unite the country as president, arguing that the political battles she has been through make her uniquely equipped to bring the nation together and build a centrist governing coalition. In an interview aboard her campaign bus, Clinton (N.Y.) acknowledged that she has contributed to the divisive politics of the past decade but said she has learned from those experiences. She said that if she becomes president, she will attempt to assemble a broad, centrist coalition on such key issues as health care, energy independence and national security.
Do you believe Hillary Clinton has stalinist tendencies? check this out..? SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton’s campaign admitted Friday that it planted a global warming question in Newton, Iowa, Tuesday during a town hall meeting to discuss clean energy. Clinton campaign spokesman Mo Elliethee admitted that the campaign had planted the question and said it would not happen again. "On this occasion a member of our staff did discuss a possible question about Senator Clinton's energy plan at a forum,” Elliethee said. “However, Senator Clinton did not know which questioners she was calling on during the event. This is not standard policy and will not be repeated again.” In a state where the caucus is held sacred and the impromptu and candid style of the town hall meeting is held dear, Clinton’s planted question may come as a great offense to Iowans. According to a report on the Grinnell University Web site, the Clinton campaign arranged for some of the questions for the candidate to be asked by college students: "On Tuesday Nov. 6, the Clinton campaign stopped at a biodiesel plant in Newton as part of a weeklong series of events to introduce her new energy plan. The event was clearly intended to be as much about the press as the Iowa voters in attendance, as a large press core helped fill the small venue.... "After her speech, Clinton accepted questions. But according to Grinnell College student Muriel Gallo-Chasanoff ’10, some of the questions from the audience were planned in advance. 'They were canned,' she said. Before the event began, a Clinton staff member approached Gallo-Chasanoff to ask a specific question after Clinton’s speech. 'One of the senior staffers told me what [to ask],' she said. "Clinton called on Gallo-Chasanoff after her speech to ask a question: what Clinton would do to stop the effects of global warming. Clinton began her response by noting that young people often pose this question to her before delving into the benefits of her plan. "But the source of the question was no coincidence — at this event 'they wanted a question from a college student,' Gallo-Chasanoff said." The tape of the event shows that the question and answer went as follows: Question: "As a young person, I'm worried about the long-term effects of global warming How does your plan combat climate change? Clinton: "Well, you should be worried. You know, I find as I travel around Iowa that it's usually young people that ask me about global warming." The campaign's admission that it planted the question may be another blow to the New York senator's image as a trustworthy politician
Does Hillary Clinton have no shame or memory? http://www.hillaryclinton.com/news/release/view/?id=2271 The Associated Press reports from Keokuk, Iowa, that Mrs. Clinton "drew a distinction" between the Libby commutation--"which she has harshly criticized--and her husband's 140 pardons in his closing hours in office": Her husband's pardons, issued in the closing hours of his presidency, were simply routine exercise in the use of the pardon power, and none were aimed at protecting the Clinton presidency or legacy, she said. I would have thought her to at least remain quiet on the issue but apparently she likes the taste of her own foot. Roger Clinton, who was convicted of drug-related charges in the 1980s. He was sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty in 1985 to conspiring to distribute cocaine. . Susan McDougal, a former real estate business partner of the Clintons. She was sentenced in 1996 and released from prison in 1998. She was convicted of four felonies related to a fraudulent $300,000 federally backed loan that she and her husband, James McDougal, never repaid. Henry Cisneros, who served as secretary of Housing and Urban Development during Clinton's first term in office. He was convicted of making false statements to FBI agents conducting a background investigation of him when he was nominated to the Cabinet post in 1993. They included misleading investigators about cash payments he made to a former mistress.
Did the results in the Iowa caucases surprise anyone? I doubt that much can be deciphered from the results, most self proclaimed christains went for the republican Huckabee. The younger democrats and a large percent of the independents went for Obama, I predicted that within 5 minutes of the start. What did surprise me was John Edwards beating Hillary Clinton. Maybe Iowa democrats didn't like the idea that if you vote for Hill you'll also get Bill. I want to see how NH turns out and then I'll make my choice in the Democratic primary in SC. I'm still open for another good man to step up to the plate by next Nov.
Was anyone surprised that Hillary Clinton lost? Okay, I'm not really into politics. However, there are comments being made every day that I find so annoying. I couldn't resist. There was a comment posted a website for Yahoo, "New York Sen. Hillary Clinton, reeling from defeat in Iowa at the hands of Barack Obama, urged Democratic voters on Friday not to build up "false hopes" by choosing an inexperienced presidential candidate. " Honestly, she's right as far as having experience in the presidential seat. She's already been there in her husband's name. She didn't get the job done. So step aside and give someone else a chance. There was a comment that women would be stepping up voting for her at the chance of having a female Pres. Right... women are not dumb enough to vote for someone simply because they're a woman. My neighbor, a female, refuses to vote for Democrats because they do nothing for our military members who give their lives for this country, whether they are female or not. Anyway, just had to vent Yossarius: Don't forget. It was the democrats that downsized our military and starting kicking everyone out to save the budget, thus weakening our military force. It seems like every time a Democrat steps into office, the first thing they start doing is downsizing. I agree with some of those when it comes to celebraties. I think that they should keep their comments to themselves and let the little people use their own brains. Use that power to help feed the poor. You know, on the Oprah show they gave away a new car to all of the guests one year. Think about how many mouths that would have fed around the US and the world.
How would HILLARY CLINTON look like if she LOST NEW HAMPSHIRE CAUCUS? She already looked emotional in Iowa last week. While most people who were her supporters expected her to be strong, as a presidential candidate... WIll this week be worse, say it is goin to happen again (a Clinton defeat)? Will she just break down n leave d stage? Or even just cry there? DONT FORGET STARS IF QUESTION INTERESTING thanks for all d answers!
Do you think Hillary Rodham Clinton will win president for democracy in 2008? I love Hillary Rodham Clinton, she is an American woman and a hero. She help built house for homeless in Alabama, help Iowa State for the Hurricane and tornado, Florida, and New York Stadium to rebuilt for the Olympic. Actually, her husband is a president of the United States, too. Everybody know him is Bill Clinton.
What is the plan for the Clinton Campaign? What will the Hillary Clinton campaign do to curb the decline of support in the first 2 contests? According to the most recent polls Obama is now leading in Iowa and Hillary's lead in New Hampshire is down to 1 percent.
Due to the outcome of Democratic Iowa caucuses, do you think Hillary still has a shot of winning? Garnering 38 percent, the freshman Illinois senator is the first African-American ever to win the Iowa caucuses, a key stepping stone on the path to the White House. With all of Iowa's precincts reporting Thursday night, Obama was followed by former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards and New York Sen. Hillary Clinton -- Edwards taking just under 30 percent and Clinton taking just over 29 percent. No offense but Hillary is no Bill. She cant rely on riding her hubby's coat-tail to win this election.

Did Hillary Clinton play the gender card during the democratic primaries? especially after the debate with all the candidates ganging up on her. Obama did not use the race card when the candidates were ganging up on him in the Iowa debates. Do you think she played the victim card and was whining, whining, whining as Christoper Hitchens put it. Do you think she should have withdrawed from the race earlier and not hang on playing her gender card.
Hillary into Iowa - Better try & lose, than not to have tried at all? Hillary might win, draw or show tonight. There are many reaons that Hillary's advisor told her EARLY ON not to campaign in Iowa, and they could be: 1) Iowa is a red (republican state), 2) It is next to Illinois (home state of Obama), and Obama has the advantage through overflow of TV media and resources 3) Bill Clinton didnt win Iowa in 1992 4) Iowa only has only 45 delegates, and she does not need Iowa to win the nomination, as similar argument made by Giuliani
Why did Hillary Clinton recieve more deligates than John Edwards? If she has accpeted 3rd place in Iowa, and Edwards has accepted 2nd place, then why was she given 15 pledged deligates, compared to Edwards 14 and Obama's 16? Also, if Obama beat both of them by 7%, why does he only recieve one more deligate than Hillary and two more deligates than Edwards considering the two were virtually tied, 7% behind Obama?
What does this mean now for Hillary Clinton coming third in the caucases? Now that Senator Obama and Senator Huckabee came out as the winners of the Iowa caucases what does that mean for Hillary Clinton? Is she going to drop out of the race for the What House? I hope not I like Hillary Clinton and I like her policies and if I were American I would vote for her because she has said a lot of things I like in a politian. I think this next election is going to be a long touch fight right up to the very end and who ever wins will have show how tough and strong willed they are. Also this next election is going to be a historical one if say Hillary wins she will be the first woman president of the USA or if Obama wins he will be the first African American president in history quite an achievement.
What is Hillary Clinton about? Is it change? Experience? Will she ever explain her stance on the issues? It seems like every week Clinton changes her sales pitch. It was experience before iowa, then she said change because she finished below the candidates who are actually real agents of change. Then she uses the female pitch and tears up. Experience to Change to Emotions... yet nothing about what her plans are as president, at least, nothing specific. I have had to do that research myself, and I dont like it anyway.
