Why is Iowa important to the presidential election? How is barack obama related to Iowa? or what role does Iowa play in the presidential election?
How important is Iowa to your election decision ? The media generally builds Iowa as the decision maker to the White House but is that true or just media hype?
Why are New Hampshire and Iowa such big states during this election? Every time i turn on the news when the election comes on, i always hear New Hampshire and Iowa, and not any other states
How do Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton poll against McCain for the general election in Iowa and N.H.? couldn't these states have swung the 2004 election by themselves?
Why is the state of Iowa so important to the election? I always hear during the Presidential primary about the Iowa Caucus. Can anyone explain to me why Iowa and New Hampshire are so important for a candidate to win during an eletion?
Why is the state of Iowa so important to the presidential election? I always hear on the news that Iowa is crucial to the presidential nomination. Why, is'nt it mainly just a farming state?
Presidential election issues in iowa, New Jersey, and/or tennessee? I know who these states are voting for in the upcoming election, but i have no idea why! Please tell me why al three of these states are voting obama! Thank you, it is greatly appreciated.
Why Is The Iowa Cuacus So Crucial In The Presidential Election? Why is it so important for the 2008 Presidential candidates to earn the votes of Iowa voters and "sweep up" the Iowa Caucuse? Also, does anyone have faith that Hilary Rodham Clinton will do well? Thank you!
why is iowa such an important state for the election? and what is the iowa caucas? i am just getting in to politics and this is very confusing.
Should Iowa change from the caucus method to decide on a presidential canidate and go to a primary election? A person such as myself, who has no political clout, can not get a word in edgewise or say at the caucuses. In most cases, the organizers have been rude. To them, they have already decided who they what, so any opinion besides their own doesn't matter. At least with a primary, my one vote will actually count, not by much, but would count.
Why is Iowa sooooo important in the election process? I mean, I just picture Iowa being so sparsly populated, with farms and little hick towns. It seems like Calif or NY would be where the most voters would reside. Don't make fun...I'm just learning, and trying to learn about politics..
Why do you think Iowa and New Hampshire is important on the presidential campaign 2008? They say whoever win on the Iowa or New Hampshire will win the election. IDK way so if you could tell me it'll be very nice. Thx
iowa elections? why do all the presidential candidates want Iowa so bad. during every election they make a huge deal out of Iowa. why? does that mean IOWA is the first state the candidates try to win over? are they forced to go to IOWA first?
Is that Hillary 62% vs Obama 38% come from IOWA univercity Election Market prediction? I checked the link. It looks like it does come from Iowa University Market today's data. http://iemweb.biz.uiowa.edu/graphs/graph_DConv08.cfm
Why do the first two elections (Iowa, New Hampshire) determine who will likely be the final candidates? News quote: "By tradition, the first primary held the power to propel winners into the rush of primaries that follow - and to send the also-rans home for good." Unless my math is wrong, the US has 50 states and the first two elections are in very small states. IOWA 7 Electoral votes New Hampshire 4 Electoral votes http://apnews.excite.com/article/20080109/D8U215G00.html
Politically speaking, is it safe to say that what happens in Iowa stays in Iowa? I don't see too the Iowa caucuses spreading their influence out to the rest of the campaign up to the election. Iowa is simply an iffy barometer. The direction and speed of campaign winds could change at any time, and probably the end result will look nothing like what has been projected in Iowa.
Where do I find comprehensive information on the candidates for the 2006 Iowa midterm elections? Looking for information for the elections, including where they stand on issues and their record as a politician if they've already held office.
what is caucusing and the primary election? All I have seem on the news lately is about Iowa and the primary elections. What does this do? Is it like a dry run to see who is on top?
Does anyone know where I can find information about the 2006 Iowa Elections? Does anyone know where a good web site is for looking for information on all the candidates who are running for offices in Iowa this year? Or at least who is running agasint whom? Thanks!
Does Iowa have a primary election? I know Iowa's caucuses just passed, but do they also have a primary election? If not, do Huckabee and Obama win it? I thought a caucus was just to pick delegates....
Will the Iowa Caucus and New Hampshire primary create two new national frontrunners for the General Election? ...if you start getting mean and begin bashing people and hurting each other's feelings, I will give you a thumbs down and no best answer. I want to know if you believe that the early primaries will make it clearer who will be the frontrunner -will there be new frontrunners -what is your reasoning If I had to pick an upset possibility, it would probally be McCain. I think Obama is on pace to overthrow Hillary, but that isn't really an upset.
Why is Iowa such an important state during the elections? It seams every year Iowa makes the biggest headlines when it comes to running for office. Whats wrong with Kansas, or kentucky, or Idaho? What is the big deal with Iowa?
Do You Agree That The Second And Third Tier Candidates With 10% or Less Votes Quit After Iowa Caucus Election? Is not enough for the ones who draw 1% quit after Iowa? Already they have satisfied their vanity by staying too long!! RTO Bill Clinton was viable first tier candidate all the way through mind u. The second and third tier candidates are one digit folks. Bill Clinton was never single digit candidate! Sally, probably, if some one keep getting 1% or 2% after New Hampshire he should quit. No need for such clutter. Incidentally Repuk Duncan Hunter less than 1% candidate is protesting he is not invited to Fox debate before New Hampshire. Fox just said they do not have enough podiums. Just, if some one get 1% he wants to be sure? As I was inquiring and as I thought some ones will drop? This what happened on the Dem side! Iowa's results tightened the Democratic field — Sens. Joe Biden and Christopher Dodd dropped out shortly after the outcome was clear Thursday night. How about the Repuk side? no body yet.
How can I find otu where to Caucus or what I have to do in Iowa? I am 18 years old and I registered to vote in the city elections of Iowa City, IA this past November. My questions are, do I have to register to vote again in order to vote in the presidential elections and is there anything I need to do in order to Caucus in Iowa on January 3, 2008? Also since I am registered to vote in the Iowa city elections would I have to Caucus there as well? I am going home over Christmas Break and will be in Davenport, IA. Thanks
Iowa elections? does anyone even know where Iowa is at
American election? Why have some states like New Hampshire and Iowa voted earlier than the others? Isn't it fairer for the candidates to have all 50 states vote on the same day? For example, Rudy Giuliani was ahead of everyone until the Iowa election. His stronghold is Florida. If Florida had have voted first, he'd still be ahead. Any comments?
up coming election...? im under age to vote but am still interested in the up coming election. Can some one please sumarize the whole campaine trail? Like what is the importacne of the Iowa elections? what makes the two parties? etc. if you can explain it or give me a good website or book that would be great. also please keep personal opions out of your anwser. THANKS ALOT!
Did Lisa Simpson give us a hint? Or did the writers forget about Iowa? this happened a while ago, few weeks atleast. Springfield decided to hold their primary election before any other state and Lisa said, "that will put Springfield before New Hampshire!" K....the Iowa election is before New Hampshire's. Anyone else catch that? wow.....obviously you dont have too much of a life if you can take time out of your busy schedule to ANSWER a question about a cartoon that doesn't interest you in the slightest, huh? funny how that works.... and im not a kid...im 21.
What you do if a nuke went off in Iowa the day of the primary, and Dubya called off the election...? ....and declared marshal law over the US, and started nuking the first country he & the media decides to blame? "The president has no authority to do any such thing.", oh dear Crabby- have you seen ANYTHING he's done these last few years? Not being allowed to do something is Dubyas pet peeve, and he doesn't let it stop him. It's not legal for the president to start a war (without declaring it first), without approval from the senate. He'd get away with being the one who pressed the button to detonate the nuke... Barbara- Under marshal law he would have FULL control of the media.
will we fall for that far right religion thing again, in the iowa elections? be not afraid to speak your mind in iowa its called a caucus
