Why President John McCain and Vice President Mitt Romney would be the winning ticket for the USA in 2008? The President of the United States is the Chief Commander of the Armed Forces (John McCain fits the position best). The Vice President of the United States handles more Economic issues (Mitt Romney fits the position best). Obama has no history of either of these positions or much of any successful past at all Clinton is everything the opposite of these positions and wants everything to be a socialist economy and has no armed forces experience. Democrats have no qualified candidates right now for the Presidential seats.

How will the fact that Mitt Romney is a member of the Mormon (LDS) Church effect his election chances in 2008? Religion always plays some role in an election at this level. I think it will be interesting to see how the whole thing plays out with Mitt Romney being a Mormon. One school of thought is that it will work against him, since many voters will recall some of the more negative aspects of Mormon history. This will make them pass on Romney. On the other hand, both Romney and his Church are pretty conservative. While Mormonism finds itself at odds with a lot of typical evangelical Christian doctrine, there are still common teachings. Maybe enough of that huge voting block of self-described evangelical Christians would support Mitt Romney for this reason. But then, maybe not. What do you think? How will the fact that Mitt Romney is a Mormon effect his election hopes?

ok now the mid-term election is over..any thoughts on Mitt Romney? Why did Mitt Romney seek a draft deferment from the Mormon church? Are Mitt Romney and Barack Obama popular just because they are handsome? I'm asking this in all seriousness. In the race for the White House, there are 7 candidates who are significantly more popular and stand out more than the others and they all have reasons: -Rudy Giuliani and John McCain are both popular because they are probably 2 of the most well known politicians in the United States, one as a mayor and the other as a senator. -Hillary Clinton is popular because of her role as first lady and because she is married to Bill Clinton. -John Edwards is popular because everyone knows him as the Democratic Vice Presidential candidate in 2004. -Fred Thompsan is popular among voters even before he has announced a run in the election because he is a famous actor. -However, Mitt Romney and Barack Obama were not relatively well known before the race for the 2008 election started. Yet the 5 people I named before were well known. And they are both probably the best looking candidates out of all the Democrats and Republicans. Is it just me, or is Mitt Romney hot? For those who may not be paying attention to the 2008 presidential election, he's the former Mass. governor running for the Republican ticket. (And the only Republican under 80 with a full head of hair). He's much prettier than John Edwards. I would rather stare at him all day than Clinton.

Who will you support in the 2008 election? I'm not affiliated with a political party. I'm a moderate conservative who demands reform of Congress and the executive branch. I will not vote for Clinton, and I will not vote for Mitt Romney. Romney rubs me the wrong way something fierce. I don't support Giuliani but I would versus Clinton. I don't support McCain but I would versus Clinton. But if it is Obama versus Republican, I vote Obama. if it's Clinton versus Republican, I vote for Republican. if its Clinton versus Romney I vote for Donald Duck and hope he wins, too. Am I the only one who thinks Mitt Romney is a total scumbag? I'm 18, college freshman, I never voted in an election before and didn't really plan on it in 2008 since I'm not into politics (I'm a microbiology major) and I don't really like Hillary. However, are there other people out there who just can't stand Flip Flopney? Isn't he the guy who flip-flopped on every single issue, hired illegal immigrants in his mansion (and now is anti-illegal immigrant all of a sudden!!)? I don't like Hillary, but I'll be damned if another Bush clone and hypocrite like Romney ever gets close to the White House. Who else can't stand him?
